BTW Greg is there more footage of the Batlimore 82 gig then what;s circulaiting ?? Would have been great to see live footage on video of Body language (new haven) or calling all girls ....
Why is the qualitiy of baltimore so bad .. is it because it's been transfered from NTSC ?? Does it excist in the archives in normal quality?? Great to see Brian break of few strings up....
And if I may ask ,does Queen Productions have the Mexico gigs in their archives ?
I'know the former dutch Band called Nilson , they had a cd release called fredies garden, the cd was recorded at Roger Taylors' studio... they did some gig;s in Holland called Marlboro flash backs...I'd spoke to the bass player they had seen a lot of video;s from roger , the Marloboro flash back tour was 00/01 and band should cover well known bands, Nilson did cover queen, though they recorded a cd at taylor's studio. They said they had seen a lot of video's from Roger, Queen live video;s , which aren;t well know... could you please tell us Greg which live video;s excist in the archives???
I mean the video's beside the videos of which the ones footage were used in the documentaries ? Do you already have the footage which was used in the Killer Queen Docu > I mean the footage in the Zandra Rhodes part, really old unknown 74 footage..probably BBC footage or maybe Granada TV footage?If they have it could you please tel us which gig it was from ?
And my last question : the Argentina 81 shows, most of them were recorded on video, even Brian admits that the gig with Maradonna was recorded.... why we'd never seen any footage of this gig ???? I believe there is a video if I recall of that gig but only from WWRY (fast) - play the game....
Final question : in the Rare Live and Magic Years footage is used of Freddie sitting on Superman and throwing bananas in the audience ... can you please tell us which gig this is ?? Probably Alexandra Palace 79 ... but you confirm it....and is there beside WWRY (slow) more footage of this show..... is the footage in the archives , it;s most likely recorded by the BBC as they recorded Queen earlier that day....

I do have one question that has often intrigued me.
How do you go about listening to the tapes? do you have a selection of players available to run the multitracks on in the archive? or are you taking them to a studio to do this, or have they all been transferred to some digital format now that means you can simply drop in a CD etc.
DO you run the tape machines yourself or does someone help you?

I, we, do not listen to the original tapes. They are too precious to play more than is absolutely necessary. I listen to safety copies only.
Although sometimes - like when Justin was working on 5.1 mixing - I get the chance to hear the real multitrack itself, but not often.
We have safety back ups of everything. Most sensible artists have done this too.

Greg, most releases like these are being put on hold while the Queen and Paul Rodgers project is still running, but any idea when we can expect the next 'dvd collection' release of an 'old' show and which shows you are considering for release? (Hammersmith 79?)
I've got a feeling that due to Queens issue with quality control we're going to get Budapest '86 next. I hope not but I suppose it's better than nothing.

Hammersmith '79 would be great and feel there is enough 'Greatest Hits' on there to justify Queen releasing it without alienating the mass market. Here's hoping.
