It's hard to bash their lyrics. Their serious lyrics are always decent. Some lyrics are dumb as can be, but the tone of the song justifies it as camp or musical sillyness. How can one truly rate songs like 'Delilah' and 'The Party' in the same manor with songs like 'Save Me', 'Life is Real' and/or 'Mother Love'?
The worst lyrics they ever wrote was in the shitty song "Play The Game".

"My game of love has just begun
Love is pumping from my head down to my toes
Flowing through my vains
Drving me insane"

I just hate that. Those lines destroy the song.
Queen lyrics range from one end to the other, but seem to be at their worst in the later years when they shared writing credit. I'd say the worst of their lyrics for me is:

'Don't Try Suicide, Nobody's worth it...'

Freddie's lyrics seem to be very ambiguous, sometimes for better, sometimes for worse. Brian's lyrics range from cheesy and weak to the most soulful and fantastic lyrics of the catalogue.
Roger's lyrics range from simple to intelligent, but always seem rather upfront and direct. John's songs, in my opinion, contain the most consistantly good song lyrics of the four members. Overall their lyrics are probably average by comparison to other bands with longevity, but lyrics are dead last on my song priorities.

Exactly :P
second line on 'man on the prowl'

other than that line i love the song haha
why pay the visit when the visit is free? "this shitty guitar wont play what i want! it only knows three chords!"
I always thought the line in Was It All Worth it was "We were so dandy, we love you Mandy".

I could be going completely "WTF, m8", but I'm not.

im REALLY suprised nobody mentioned "When you pee all over my Chippendale suite" - delilah
I find it difficult to navigate QZ at this very moment.

The entire lyrics (and song, and video) to Body Language. And the point of the song was?????
I reign with my left hand, I rule with my right.
Has to be:

"People get shot by people, people with guns"

Really, really bad...
"We were so dandy, we love you Mandy..

MADLY! sucker...I Love that song Was it all worth it! The best song ever written by Freddie!!
Dear .DeaconJohn, please indulge me here.

As this is a recycled topic, I will use my recycled reply from February of last year, that I used in this thread in December of last year, which was:

"Please Lord, give me strength. As mentioned previously, the National Rifle Association (NRA) states "guns don't kill people, people do." So when Brian's lyric says people got shot by people, "PEOPLE...WITH...GUNS", it's in the form of a rebuttal to the ridiculous people of the NRA who refuse to acknowledge the role guns play in the deaths of their fellow citizens."

To sum up, .DeaconJohn, let's say you and I were having a pleasant conversation about famous people who have been violently murdered. I'd say "shame about Martin Luther King getting killed by a gun. Guns are bad." You'd say "MLK didn't get killed by a gun, he got killed by a person." I'd say, "ohh, well, that John Lennon, beautiful soul, how could anyone gun him down like that?" To which you'd reply, "John Lennon didn't get killed by a gun, he got killed by a person." at this point in time, I'd be getting mildly irritated at your contention that people don't get killed by guns, they get killed by people (though these people seem to me to have guns!) So, exasperated, I'd say "but look around you, from the Kennedy's, to Marvin Gaye, Biggy Smalls, an NFL player was just shot and killed, these people are being killed with guns being the weapon of choice!!!" To which you'd reply "these people didn't get killed by guns, they got killed by a person." To which I'd reply "YOU STUPID FUCK!!! PEOPLE GET SHOT BY PEOPLE!!! PEOPLE...WITH GUNS!!!" Then I'd go get a gun and shoot you, and you could be happy in the knowledge that with your last breath's that you were killed by a person, and not a gun, and that you'd probably have lived had I attacked you with my bare hands or an ashtray or a piece of fruit. But a gun didn't kill you.

This concludes today's sermon on why the line "People get shot by people, people with guns" is not even close to the worse line in the Queen catalogue. Enjoy your Sunday!

PS, I don't mean this to mean that I'd kill you .DeaconJohn as I don't even know you or have ever seen your name until your post. I do get worked up about this line and the "sweet like I'm some kind of cheese" lines being called the worst lyrics ever. I'll go get my slippers and rest now.
You know, good times are now.
