Right Queen fans, let's get this thing rolling!
If it's good enough to start a petition for Ringo Starr (as revealed in the British press last week), it's good enough to get one going for our very own Brian. Just follow the link below, and sign the e-petition (it will take you all of 3 minutes). Unfortunently, you have to be a British citizen to be able to partake, so come on Britain, let's try and get Brian that knighthood he so fully deserves.
(Next year is Roger's turn!).

Because knighthood is an extremely daft, medieval practice?
Why noy try and get an honour for Roger & John 1st and then go for a knighthood for Brian. It would seem unfair for him to be knighted without the other 2 even having some sort of honour.

I agree how come Brian is the only one that has been given an honour surley Roger & John deserve 1 also.

Have to admit, with someone like Mick Jagger getting his knighthood for "service to popular music", surely Brian far surpasses this alone! He loves participating in musical events and heck, he's always getting involved with charity things, too. It's true, he would easily deserve it in my book.

I must admit, I did go on the defensive.
I just thought it would be nice for Brian (and then maybe Roger and John) who does a lot of good work both in the field of music, and outside of it.
It's as you put it, if Mick Jagger can be a sir, then I'm damned sure Brian, who does alot more for good-causes, is more deserving.

it is a bit laughable...from BOTH perspectives
1. the whole "award" system in Britain is wank and carries not real recognition anymore...for fucks sake the england cricket team were nominated last year after beating the aussies...and LOOK what happened to them this year!!!
2. and wtf has Brian done? nothing to merit a knighthood that's for sure...he's certainly no John Lennon or Paul McCartney....and he hasn't done anything of merit for at least 15 yrs....so are we just giving em out now like confetti?

People who give/risk their lives to save others through sheer bravery are far more deserving of big-name honours in my opinion.

Remind me Brenski, when did the beatles get their honors? And what was it for again? And it was said, "The Queen did not see fit to elaborate on the motive behind honoring the Beatles." Bit secretive ain't it. It was controversial and even rumoured to be just so she could meet them.
Plus, I just saw a documentary on tv where they showed the Rolling Stones in their satanic element in the 70's. Hmm... Especially liked the clip where Jagger's chest had the devil drawn on it.
