Not fair. Queen were on tour in '84, which was planned long before Band Aid was a thought. And you're stretching it by saying they were coerced into doing Live Aid. This isn't officially documented, but consider it: They were a bit edgy at first probably because they were losing popularity in the UK, and they thought they wouldn't fit in with everyone else playing. Remember the South Africa thing? The media practically destroyed them with that one, even though it was all crap. So with that in mind, they probably agreed to do Live Aid as a "do or die" thing. Because Queen weren't doing so well in the UK at the time, their presence (or lack there of) wouldn't have made much of a difference for the viewing audience. It is ironic, though....whatever the true reason was that Queen were not invited to perform on "Do They Know It's Xmas?", they undoubtedly stole the show on 13th July 1985.

However, I don't fancing getting into a slanging match with you over a matter of opinion. I'm sure that alot of people agree with you and your thoughts regarding this knighthood, as I'm sure there are just as many who agree with me.
Let me make one thing clear for you, I'm working class, proud of my upbringing, agree with your views of the aristocracy, but would still be bloody proud to be awarded a knighthood. The only problem is, I, like so many, have done bugger all to deserve one.
