I read something in the Queenzone news section as I was browsing abot Brian May defending Mika... ya know what after listening to Mika .. I think the person is alright with me , I cant complain with the song Grace Kelly , not one bit .. very interesting indeed ... and very Freddieesque if you wanna call it that. I like it.

The rest of the album is good too. I was forced to download it from a friend because it isn't out in the US yet :-(
It's a nice break from the typical R&B shit they play on the radio.
The slower songs from the album are very Freddie-esqe to. Heavy in the piano, and his vocal range is awesome. Not as impressive as Freddie, but good nonetheless.

Sorry, but I really can't enjoy this guy. I've tried, believe me, but it sounds like Liberace on crack to me. I have a very wide musical taste, and can enjoy quite a lot, but not this.
Is it too gay for your taste?
Is it true that he's having death threats on him because people want him to say outloud if he's gay or not? :S

apparantly so,mind you saying that he himself has been a bit outspoken regarding the scissor sisters style and music over the last week or so.i personally quite like his music but i have heard Grace Kelly far too often for its own good, its like this years version of Gnarls Barkeley's Crazy..

Honestly tho , gay or not ... why judge the guy? The guy is getting the 2000's Version of the Freddie treatment... when really who gives a flying hoot if he is or isnt?

I 2nd that.
I 2nd that.
Queen fans are so desperate for something new that they would buy an album from whatever crappy act trying to emulate Queen trademarks.
First it was The Darkness, and now it's Mika's turn.

I think the album is great, personally. Yeah, it's peppy and bubblegum-ish, but sometimes that's awesome! I like a lot of stuff, but you can't listen to Evanesence and Muse all the time...I get too depressed if I do. Every once in a while you need something happy!
I was thinking about it today while I was driving around and listening to it via my IPOD....
why is it that everytime there is a tenor artist out, people automatically assume that he's gay? I mean, you'd never say that about a guy singer who happens to be a baritone or bass. It's always the tenors who get it.
And I'll agree with whoever said it before...who gives a flying f*ck if he is or isn't? Doesn't matter to me. He still makes good music that I enjoy listening to.

First off ... The Darkness aint that bad...once again Mika aint bad either? Choice is anyones really. Emulate Queen? Impossible no matter how hard you try because their was only ONE Freddie Mercury. BUT I also believe you can use the same formula and achieve success. I honestly dont really care if its Queenish or not ... it just shows good talent and ability will drive you far in the music biz if you catch on. But it's a shame that its come to such complaints really... because in the end all it really is , is music. Correct me if I am wrong ... but it has always been my idea that music makes the world go round. Not just fat bottomed girls.

I like him... He's kinda cool, and his songs are very happy happy, specially when you're drunk :P
My friend Joey is one of the leaders in the gay community and says Mika is their next idol. Before that, it was Hilary Duff.
Keep in mind, they said about Freddie Mercury... he wasn't anything impressive. But they did say Mika is the true Freddie Mercury.

Mika is a fox.
