I didn't care for the darkness at all..
MIka is a resemblance to Freddie in a way... but he also puts a lot of his own work in it.

From my point of view it's like this:

Queenfans are hoping for a new Freddie to step up and when someone is getting clsoe the person gets dissed.

I never really formed the connection between Freddie and Mika until I started hearing it 'round here...

I'm getting his album today!! It's one 'o those amazing CDs in which every track is at the very least enjoyable. The others are just obsessively hyper.

I like him enough I might buy the album. Saw it at Wal Mart today but I had my last bit of spending money already assigned to the new Stevie Nicks CD + DVD and it was well worth it. Her commentary is especially great.

it is a good little album.lollipop is a good track and Grace Kelly is a great tune,just got overplayed here in the UK.

I like 'Love Today' as used in an advert here, though I didn't care much for a live version I heard at YouTube.

I don't like him because he mentions Freddie, and I certainly don't feel he has much of a likeness to him (more to Billy Squier actually). He just seems to have a variety of different material which I like (that part is a bit Queen-like to me).

I think Mika might well be a poser trying to come across as a flamboyant Freddie Mercury type with glam rock/pop tunes, but in the end he's just a straight dude trying to reach the Queen audience.

Just like t.A.t.U was nothing but a poser lesbian act trying to appeal to horny guys who were into girl on girl action.
