  1. best live-versions of songs?

They always performed White Queen brilliantly in all the bootleg versions I have. The fast version of We Will Rock You for the "News" and JAZZ tours as well as If You Can't Beat Them. The live versions of the Hot Spac...

  2. Live killers a contractual obligation?

I remember when it first came out in 79. Up to that point I hadn't heard any live recordings til this was released. At the time I thought it was brilliant because I had nothing to compare it with. But after collecting...

  3. Top 5 Queen Videos

In no particular order: Tie Your Mother Down Show Must Go On Somebody To Love Save Me I Want To Brek Free

  4. Soundboard Bootlegs

Those are the best audience recordings I've ever heard. If there's a way to get in touch with their original sound tech Trip Khalef we'd get a definite answer. I know he still works with Clair Brothers in some capacity.

  5. Headlong video.

Yes Brenda it was slated for November 23, 1990. I remember seeing an outtake or two and noticed the slate with the date on it. Exactly one year later he was gone.

  6. What Queen period is your favorite??

1977-1980 because I grew up listening to them during this period and never looked back. I wish everyone here could have grown up with them when they were in the moment. There was nothing like it back then.

  7. Best and Worst moments of Queen

Best - Live Aid Worst - Freddie's passing

  8. Soundboard Bootlegs

How about Montreal and Toronto of 12/78?

  9. Best Song Lyrically

    Fairy Feller's Master Stroke.

  10. what is your favorite music video?

The live version of We Will Rock You from Houston 77 and Tie Your Mother Down. The video for Bicycle Race is fun because there's nothing like 55 nude women riding bikes.

  11. What's your Favourite concert by queen?

My favorite shows were the two I attended in Providence, RI in 1978 and again in 1980. As far as bootlegs? I love Montreal, Toronto and Chicago from December of 78. They were in the middle of the tour and you can tell...

  12. Have Queen won any grammy's?

Peter Cetera is correct. I remember watching Roger and John receiving it back in 1980 on tv.

  13. Favourite Songs written by Brian May

Tie Your Mother Down It's Late We Will Rock You (fast BBC version)

  14. queen vs u2

The only thing that they have in common is that both bands have made it to 20 years without a line-up change and both played Live Aid. Though Queen kicked their asses that day.

  15. Jazz-their most technically perfect album?

I bought this album the day it came out and saw the band just the night before. I've always enjoyed it but it's not their most technically perfect album in my opinion. I think that would be a toss up of Queen II or In...

  16. Where and why did Queen lose their ambition?

I'd have to agree with Sonja from Germany. I've been following them since '77 and I remember the earlier albums and thought how brilliant they were. Lots of information recorded on Queen II. But as I followed them fro...

  17. The Game

I bought The Game the day it came out in the summer of 1980. This was a summer when you could turn on the radio and almost ALWAYS hear a song from that album. It was everywhere. Really big here in the States. To me th...

  18. Queen Albums

I agree with Brenski. Queen II is their most ambitious project for a follow-up album. Once they got a little experience with the studio for their demos and then finishing up all the tracks for the first album, they we...

  19. First Impressions on Queen.

My cousin had just come off the road with them after the Earls Court shows, had come back to the States for the summer break whie the band started sessions for "News" and brought with him a magazine called CREEM. It w...

  20. What is your favorite song written by John Deacon?

If You can't Beat Them. Especially the live versions from the JAZZ tour.
