[QUOTENAME]Griffin wrote: [/QUOTENAME]like most everyone I'm hoping that's a draft image...for many of the reasons already stated...imho the A-Z of Queen vol I had good artwork, but Queen have never done holographic cover art for a major release (wasn't there a single from the Miracle album that got one?)...and...Beck's cover for <The Information> was truly radical -- put it in the fan's hands.

The sample artwork isn't good or bad -- it's worse -- it makes me feel indifferent about buying the thing I already have anyway
I agree with the hologram idea.. it would work out better... well then again anything would work out better than we have to face now!

The cover is questionable at best.
Someone got paid for that?!?!
Maybe due to the fact that this show was recorded on 24 & 25 November 1981 - some 10 years to the day of Freddie's passing... maybe Richard Gray has decided to think of that while doing the cover.

(this doesn't convince me of this being the best one though...)

They should organize a make-a-cover-contest among fans.
We love you Mandy!

Then again, as Brian is re-releasing this due to the crap sound and vision of the initial one... this does give him the opportunity to re-re-release it again... with different art-work...
one cover with Brian, one cover with Roger, one cover with John, one cover with Freddie, one cover with the audience, one cover with the venue, one cover with city...

None of you remember the 'Break free" single?
I do... bought the whole lot of them, at the time.

I never imagined it could be that bad. Take a bad pic of Freddie and spend 5 seconds adding white text. Amazing.

The pic was a poor choice anyway. What is with this fascination with Freddie looking like he died from a throat-slashing anyway? Makes me quite uncomfortable.

In related news, it's nice of them to greatly reduce the number of Queen fans who would have supported a charity by buying the Live Aid set.

Yeah the only reason I bought Live-Aid was for the Queen set. Queen's performance may account for a large chunk of the Live-Aid DVD sales, so I wonder what Bob Geldof thinks of this.

And speaking of designing a cover with MS Paint (as someone said awhile back), I think that font IS actually the MS Paint default heh
"I have no time for Time magazine. Or Rolling Stone." Jethro Tull
Indeed the worst cover ever in the Queen catalog!! As a graphic designer my fingers are itching. imho it all went down hill from Queen Rocks on. Even the GVH covers didn't bring something new (though pretty well done) Let's put up a site to post fan-covers to new releases, starting from Wembley dvd... could be very interesting :)

This will definitely NOT be appearing on my shelf... I'm not going to pay for such a piece of C R A P.

I think the Queen fans deserve WAAAAAAAAAY better!!!

*Grabs a big rotten tomatoe and throws it at QP*
What a piece of shit! Does anyone at QP even care anymore? Shame on Brian and Roger for showing ZERO creativity here. Not only are they releasing this show for the 4th time, but the artwork is something that looks like its been done by a 9 year old on MS Paint!

Fuck this, i'm getting really tired of this.

But this is really a pathetic effort.

Hey *let's* do that!

RonB's site (queenpicturehall.com), queenonstage.com, and many others already have examples of what's possible when someone else does Queen album covers.

Now, I'm not suggesting a nearly-naked lady prancing around with a giant scabbard in a lion's den or anything, but c'mon folk, let's go for it!
well then here is mine

nothing special but i had nothing to work with
pretty amateur compared to my others
