See, even this, with the rough edges and some slightly off formatting is still miles ahead of that piece of crap cover they're selling.

I honestly think this Montreal cover is a colossal game of "What Can I Get Away With?" gone terribly wrong.
I'll post my version soon.
We love you Mandy!

Your cover is pretty bad, but it is a million times BETTER than the official ! Do B+R actually know that the customers hate the cover ?

The original video cover by Peppermint Music, which was simply the design of Roger's drum kit at the time, was a more daring design than the newest rerelease of this concert. Tried to find a pic of it on google images but when I search for "we will rock you" all I get is that bloody musical...

Then again, as Brian is re-releasing this due to the crap sound and vision of the initial one... this does give him the opportunity to re-re-release it again... with different art-work...
one cover with Brian, one cover with Roger, one cover with John, one cover with Freddie, one cover with the audience, one cover with the venue, one cover with city...
Reservior Queens - the Ten Year Anniversary issue.

Actually, when you think about it, they released it with a great cover, but crappy sound and mix. Now we get a crappy cover, but great sound and mix.

Perhaps we should just switch covers?

I still like the DVD cover for the previous release best, but yours is 2nd best! Maybe you should send it to Brian. I like when there are good shots from the show used like that....

Has anyone already emailed Brian? The thing looks really horrible. A friend of mine works as a media designer and he often uses “demos” if a product is not finished yet but has to be presented to the public. Let’s hope that is also the case here.

Although I do agree with some of the posts here about sub par Queen-products in recent years, I am really happy about the forthcoming Montreal release. I had WWRY on video and always loved the show. When it was released on DVD I rushed into the store, saw the package, read the liner notes… and put it back in the shelf, as it clearly wasn’t a “Queen”-Product. The same with several european reissues of the 1985 Japanese Concert. Although I’d love to have it, I refuse to buy it when it is not official (apart from bootlegs of course, but those are mainly shows which will never be released officially anyway). Sounds strange, uh?

I still don’t see the connection to Live Aid, that’s really a bit strange, but what the heck. Give me anything anytime, much better than another compilation.

As long as he receives royalties from it, I guess he wouldn't mind if it contained a huge picture of two people making love.
German laser disc cover is very nice. Is there a better quality of this cover?? I like it...
[QUOTENAME]Dane wrote: [/QUOTENAME]Indeed the worst cover ever in the Queen catalog!! As a graphic designer my fingers are itching. imho it all went down hill from Queen Rocks on. Even the GVH covers didn't bring something new (though pretty well done) Let's put up a site to post fan-covers to new releases, starting from Wembley dvd... could be very interesting :)
Hey Daniel, still alive? How are you doing :)
OK, I have to admit the German cover DOES look worse than the new Montreal cover...at least they're not using that.
