@MusicMan: So, I gotta avoid exercising...?
I'm not an expert, but exercising would lead toward a weight gain in lean people, and a weight loss in fat people. Then again, depending on your metabolism, not exercising at all would also lead to a weight gain if you cannot use all the energy you intake in food. I'd definitely advise against excessive exercising, but I would suggest you remain active. Then again, like I said, I'm no expert, but it makes sense, doesn't it?

Oh, and I forgot: remember, there is no such thing as spot reduction (i.e. exercising the abs does not remove fat around the abdominal area). So don't try to over-exercise an area (and bulk up the underlying muscle) that you feel has excess fat that could be burned off. Fat is stored and used in a pre-determined pattern.

The idea is that exercise creates muscle and muscle weighs more than fat (and takes up less space, that is why fit people can weigh more than unfit people and still wear a smaller size of clothes). That being said, I doubt he would build any significant muscle mass in a week's time, especially if he stuck to strictly aerobic activity, such as treadmill or stationary bike.
Be careful Raf, thats a lot of weight to try to lose in a week.

Thanks for the tip... I'll focus on aerobic exercises! :)
I know it's quite a lot of weight... But considering I'll probably gain it all again in the next few days or maybe in a couple of weeks, it shouldn't be potentially dangerous, as it's something I won't do often in my life, should it?

Deprive yourself. Starve. Binge and purge. Binge and purge. And binge and purge some more...
No, I'm kidding. xD But I do suggest if you want to lose weight in only one week, though nine pounds seems to be a stretch and almost impossible in such a short amount of time, eat little to no food and exercise like a champ. :P You could also take some Fleet to blast your bowels, that is, if you have a day to spare where all you do is sit on the toilet and shit water. XD And lastly, you should try and reschedule that appointment for later. Tell them you've got a horrible case of... butt-sex syndrome. No, I don't know. :PP
This has to be the worst advice I've ever given to anyone. How to lose weight in the most unhealthy way possible. Hmm, I *must* be going to hell now. :P
[QUOTENAME]<font color="lime">Raf840 wrote: [/QUOTENAME]Okay, before I get started, I will make one thing clear: I KNOW it is NOT recommended to lose weight fast, I KNOW I'm already quite thin, this is NOT for beauty, and I am NOT going to keep the "new weight".
Basically, I'll turn 18 this year, and Brazil still has that mandatory Military Service crap.
ALL males who are turning 18 between January 1st and December 31th on each year must give their names. Not all of them are chosen, though.
They have a TENDENCY not to induct people who are planning to go to College, but they're well known here in Brazil for being assholes and often inducting people who wanna go to College and other people who cleary don't want to do this.
So, just to make sure I won't be inducted, I thought of being reproved in the health exams...
I weight 54kg (119 pounds, 8.5 stones) at the moment, and my height is 1m65cm (5'4"). Normally, when your weight is 10kg below the last 2 digits in your height (my own weight, for example... The last 2 digits are 65, my weight is 54...), you can already be reproved, but it doesn't mean you will, they check your general health conditions, because it's a small different. I wanna broaden the difference.
From what I've heard, if a person is below 50kg (110 pounds, 7.8 stones), no matter his weight, he gets reproved automatically.
So, my idea is to lose as much weight as I can (preferably, AT LEAST some 5kg, but if possible, some 7 or 8kg) in the following week.
I can go to gym 3 times a week, and I pretty much have the freedom at home to eat as much as I like, so any kind of crazy idea is welcome.
What should I eat, and what amount? I intend to get checked next Friday.
And, once again, YES, I KNOW IT'S NOT HEALTHY AND AFTER GETTING REPROVED ON THOSE EXAMS, I AM GOING TO EAT NORMALLY AGAIN AND GET BACK TO MY NORMAL WEIGHT.
Many thanks in advance!
Here's an easy way to lose weight fast (worked for me)
Fear everything and everyone
Don't eat anything, and don't drink much
Chain smoke
Don't get up much (I know it sounds odd, but trust me, just stay in bed most of the time)
When you do get up, pace around your yard or in your house and don't sit down on the couch, computer chair, etc.

No offense, I know your intentions were good - but I'd like to still have a life and not get addicted to smoking. ;)

I don't think you'd be addicted to smoking within a week if you chain smoke :-P, your lungs will feel so shitty, you'll never pick one up again!

Actually, smoking isn't a bad idea. When I'm really hungry and don't have time to eat a cigarette takes food cravings right away.
Not that that would be a good idea.
No, don't smoke.
Not that you would anyway.

Instead of smoking, you might want to try cocaine. Haha.
It's kind of strange, but I've got almost the EXACT same measurements as you, Raf... xDDDD
But yes, I looked around a bit, and this diet seemed interesting. They make a point on emphasizing that it'll make you lose weight fast, but should not be carried out for over a week. It's called the Cabbage Soup Diet, and it's worth mentioning that it's not all you eat for the whole week:

And a week from now, tell me what worked and pass it on to me! ;P

I'm taller than you!!!
(Sorry, I get teased for being 5'5...apparently I'm a shortie -_-)

You could also try drinking a bunch of water. Your body stores about 5 pounds of water weight in it, which it stores because it needs a constant supply of water. If you are constantly flushing your system with water your body will get rid of the water it's storing. Plus you'll want to stay hydrated if you are going to be working out a lot.
Also, avoid salt, as salt makes your body retain water.
And you probably already know this, but don't lift weights when you are at the gym...that adds weight. Just do aerobics stuff.

I'm 5'3" and weigh about 95. How unhealthy. xD
