Indeed. Their documentaries and concert films are among the worst I've seen. I watched a Ramones documentary recently and it was entertaining and interesting to me even though I don't even like the Ramones! However, the DoRo idiots make me not want to watch footage of a band I actually do like. Quite incredible. They have the attention spans of hyperactive children and cannot seem to focus on one image, angle or interview for more that a split second before cutting to something else. Presumably they think this is 'exciting': it's not, it's f**king annoying beyond belief!
I'm quite sure Ramones fans wouldn't like that documentary for the same reasons we don't like Champions of the World of Rare Live. For the average fan these documentaries give a good overview of an artist - but as soon as you know a bit more about the history of the band, you'll notice faults and stuff. But the target group for, say Champions of the World, does not consist of die-hard Queenfans. Same goes for almost every release we've seen in the last decade.
I see what you're saying but I don't think you are right. As far as I'm aware, the documentary has been well-received by Ramones fans but has also obviously reached a wider audience if a non-fan like me is watching it. I knew about it by word of mouth from another casual listener. Also, it isn't badly edited, as all DoRo documentraies and concerts are. For example, the people that are interviewed are allowed appropriate screen time, and there aren't the endless quick edits to give the illusion of 'excitement' (yawn), which is DoRo's main technique.

Our apologies for Microwave's response.
Consider that the state he was born in ranks amongst the bottom 5 of 50 states in our illustrious Union regarding public education scores. No clue where they rank amongst civility.
oops........sorry.......didn't mean to be discriminatory towards such a bigot
oops.........there I went again

Actually, I wasn't BORN in Texas... but you go on researching your lists so you can complete your post on Queenzone. I was born in the state that produces the most apple juice in the US.
Go ahead, Mr. Wiki.... knock yourself out.
But still, you all (mostly) think these guys "suck" because THEY didn't get their facts straight. Hmm. Did any members of Queen have the final say in Queen Rare Live? Or was it put together, packaged, and released and only then didn Brian May see it and say.. "Uh, Rudi, you got the date wrong?"
How come they "suck" but the quality control division of QPL draws no blame for the only reason half of you are complaining about?
Personally, I liked The Magic Years videos... I really did. No, I wasn't watching them with my French Film class and professor and then commenting on shoddy camera work afterwards like so many of you seem to have been.
Now where is the thread that wants to baste whoever was responsible for putting out the Made In Heaven videos? Would that be a much better use of a flame thrower?

That's pretty cheap when you deal with a foreign language speaker. Spanish is only my 3rd foreign language and when I speak Spanish it's certainly by far not so good as Bo Alex' English. It's probably very funny for the natives but they respect the effort. I have never met Spanish speaking people who acted superior because of other peoples' language deficit. Bo Alex does not look like a "tool" to me at all - whatever this is supposed to mean.
1. Interesting how his English vastly improved over the course of this thread. Did he magically find the spell check button, which really wasn't that difficult to use?
2. Well then, you've never been anywhere near a Spanish speaking culture. They most certainly "act superior", to the point of faking the ability to interpret Spanish, or speaking to each other in Spanish thinking the person present is not aware. It's very common in a workplace that employs a large number of Spanish or Oriental employees. Family is about the most important thing in Spanish culture, and if you are not part of that family, nothing you can do will ever make you truly part.
3. A "tool" is someone who usually has nothing to offer and is easily sniffed out. Usually they are open and critical about things to the point of hipocrisy... such as ranting about getting facts straight in a film and then spelling the title of that film wrong. A "tool" can also be one so easily persuaded by another "tool".
Example: Brian thought Freddie's album cover design was ok, but he really looked like a tool when he spelled the band "QUEN"

Did you mean 'hypocrisy' ???
Didn't you just complain about someone not using a spell check/ language check before posting, even though it's the poster's second language etc etc?
What's your excuse as a main language mistake, sir?
So you were born in the state of Washington? Did you graduate from one of the Apple Bowl colleges? Huskie or Cougar? Sorry I didn't need to wiki, sir.
Or a smaller state college? Or none at all? I would have thought an educated person would present a better argument. Then again, I would have thought an educated person would be more understanding of Bo Alex.
I take it you don't like James Dean. Or Abraham Lincoln. Or Benjamin Franklin. Or Franklin Roosevelt. Ben Elton. Or Elton John. Or Tom Brady. Or Brady Quinn. Or Quinn the Mighty Eskimo.
Two first names is soooooooooooooo inexcusable.
btw..........see how easy it is for people to rip other people needlessly.........hmmmmnnnnnnnnn?
Grow up.
Defence rests.
Have a good week.

Funny you added "BEN ELTON" in your list of great two first-name people.
Proving that you are a tool.
The Prosecution rests.
(By the way, you live in the US. It's "Defense" not "Defence". Man, we could go on and on about this, huh?)
Perhaps you need a better Defence Atternee?
I also noticed you included Roosevelt and Lincoln in your list. What 'hood' do you live in, bro?

Microwave: Defender of DoRo, QPR and all things stepford.
Perhaps Microwave's intelligence has less to do with where he is or was residing, but rather due the fact that he is employed by the American financial industry.

Hope you had a good week, Mr Appliance.
A few comments....
Let's see.......Ben Elton, Elton John (Queen references, sir). Thus my spelling of 'defence'. btw, does it really matter?
The 'hood' statement: are you a bigot and/or racist, sir? The individuals I referenced were pro football players and college graduates, one from the Apple state, with a 4.0 GPA in medicine. Can you lay claim to anything similar?
Oh, let's continue on with two first name people: Brian May, John Deacon, Roger Taylor
Am I a tool for listing those names? Are they tools as well? If so, why do you bother with this list?
Moving on, you made a remark to the original poster:
"You're so @#$! that you can't even use the spellcheck feature. I can. It's really easy. You just click the button that has a checkmark with 'abc' written above it"
Maybe you should change your handle to " @#$! " , since you are so " @#$! " that you could not spell check 'hypocricy'. Shame on you for butchering your main language.
If I made a mistake in this post, and did not click 'abc'..........whoop-te-effing-do.
Finally, my response to the original poster........, I think the DoRo Twins truly suxx as well.
Oops, I misspelled 'sucks'. Knot shur bout 'whoopteedue' as well.
Hope thoz hoo red this still understude mi coment, and due knot crusiphie mee two
seveerelee for my mistaick.
Have a good week. Can't wait to see the hate inspired, narrow-minded response.
Oops, I'm being stereo-typical and discriminatory. My bad.

Why not have a dig at their fashion sense too, that was in the late 80s/early 90s?
The mistakes ok, no excuse but but their editing techniques and equipment was of it's time, pre PC and pre adobe Premiere. Bit unfair to criticize it some 20 years later!

Brian is a nice guy and won't fire someone, that's why they still have a job. It's the same with the people making the horrible CD/DVD covers.

Had a look at your profile... you are 38 years old... my arse your that old!
Your lucky if your 15 going by the sheer immaturity of your replies.
You really have come across as a total twat in this discussion.
In fact I hope now everyone at QZ knows how much of a fanny you are.
38 my arse. Who's kidding who? You tried to get laughs by taking the piss out of someone's poor English grammar... THAT IS FUCKING HILARIOUS... GOOD ONE.

Fashion, sure, but it's not as if people couldn't edit accurately long before the digital age.
To be fair, Magic Years was a treat when it was released. My problem with DoRo is that they became lazy fast, reusing segments lifted from "Magic Years" etc and dropping them into later docos as opposed to going back to the original source material. I don't know how many times I've seen Sydney '85 intercut with the audience at Knebworth '86.
"Rare Live" is a mess.
