just for one show .... well, I don´t like it at all, either, but I respect your opinion too ;)
back to topic:
exciting news; the simple thought of Roger releasing a solo compilation with, perhaps, a few new tracks is wonderful! and the thought of having Bri and Rog performing Queen material again, with the additional dream of having John on board again .... yesss pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee !!!

The musings of some drum roadie become the source for a declaration of "sure to tour." Hilarious and pathetic. And then somehow....the re-emergence of Deacon gets throw in. Deacon...you know the guy who has said for almost 20 years that HE HAS NO INTEREST IN PLAYING ANYMORE.
This band is over. Time for most of YOU to get over it.
They look silly anyway....puffy Roger and Brian with his hair that now looks ridiculous.
Enough already.

I love it how post-Freddie/QPR-haters are trying to use their full arsenal in order to show disapproval :) It's getting silly and above all very cliche.
Don't you lot ever get tired of yourselves?
You might be dreading it, but I'm looking forward to some new Queen news (yes I said "Queen", as Brian and Roger started the whole journey. Remember that obscure band called Smile? Nuff said.)
it seems we can expect some activity from Brian & Roger together ... as well as from Rog solo !!

Or maybe we can expect to find that some roadie guy is pulling our leg since it is very near to April fools day.
I smell a hoax somehow...............

You know, whenever someone who dislikes Q+PR dares to say anything about a possible break-up, the stepford fans start yelling in unison demanding "facts not rumours".

From a roadie... yeah... maybe we should ask Brian's maid to confirm this news, just to be sure.

Queen always had good contact with their roadies. Plus, I don't think Roger would let anyone near his drumkit without knowing the person in question relatively well. What I'm trying to say is: the information given is most likely correct.
But hey, if you want to add another chapter to "How to act like a Stepford and praise the mighty lord Freddie Mercury", then go ahead. I'll get the popcorn and booze.

My only requests (if they do tour again):
1. If Paul leaves (and I don't necessarily want him to--I like his vocals, believe it or not), don't hire a new lead singer. Just have Brian and Roger handle vocals, with Freddie onscreen for Bo Rhap. Which leads me into point two:
2. Don't do an entire tour with taped Freddie vox on virtually every song. The last thing I want is to see Brian and Roger playing Rock Band with Freddie's vocals. On Bo Rhap, sure, use Freddie. Frankly, I don't think the audience would accept the song any other way. But don't use him on tape throughout the show. There were two other great singers in the classic incarnation of Queen--let them show off what they've got!

I'm still hoping for a Smile reunion tour [/img]

Awesome news though we're still a long way from anything solid.
Anyway my two cents are this : basically what Brian & Roger achieved (two successful arena
tours, sold out stadiums in Latin America, billed as Queen, without Freddie) is quite amazing.
But the artistic and commercial failure of the The Cosmos Rocks had to put an end to the
venture, because Paul Rodgers is his own man and he certainly didn't see the point of singing
old Queen hits for the rest of his career (I don't blame him and I am grateful for everything !
He made all this happen).
For years Bri and Rog have tried to recapture some of the global success they enjoyed with
Queen. I remember Brian's bitterness in the early 90's during his days as Guns N Roses' opening
act. With Paul they did just that (sold out arenas, stadiums) but failed with the record and
therefore jeopardized QPR's future.
Now they could tour theaters without an additional singer and enjoy the kind of atmosphere
their solo tours had (knowledgeable fans, greatest hits setlist not necessary)
It would be more of a niche thing, but after proving themselves yet again with the QPR tours, there would be no shame in that.

i agree no completly new product from queen+,Brian,Roger or both is going to set the world alight only true fans are going to be intrested.
it seems that Roger wants to continue writing new stuff and going out on the road so he should get a band together and get out there.
Brian on the other hand seems to have too many other intrests to devote his time to new music so he should be left to do has he pleases along with John.
Queen have given their fans some of the best music ever writen and some of the best concert performances ever seen on a stage and the most unfogettable frontman ever to grace a stage. so if it's all over so be it.......
