Hopefully, it will be a US tour this time.
I totally agree Erin. I'll be happy to hear they are touring again, but if they ain't coming to America it will be bittersweet once again.

I'd love to see Brian and Roger before they retire.  I'm not ashamed to admit that "We Believe" would be my big chance to go take a long dump and maybe score some peanuts.

Maybe not in that order though.

I'm happy.  Only 5 years ago I thought that we'e never see Brian and Roger playing or recording together again.

Roger's convention message says that they will "work" together again in 2010, not necessarily tour, so it could be a recording project rather than live shows.  Having said that I'm sure a tour or show of some sort willl be done as Roger especially seemed to be invigorated by playing live again.

Like many others, I'd love to see a 'celebration' of their catalogue - something like a series of smaller shows and a TV special, featuring John on bass, plus Roger, Brian and guest vocalists revisiting their back catalogue to include classic album tracks as well as the better known hit singles. This is something that was actually lined up to happen in the US in the late nineties in a VH1 Storytellers , but was pulled very late on for some reason.  I have posted befpore to say that this would be a fitting and respectful way to pay tribute to their fantastic back catalogue whilst avoiding 'cashing in' claims that would accompany another QPR Greatest Hits tour; it would also be a chance for Brian and Roger to gain some deserved credit across the wider general public who generally see Queen as just Freddie.

Roger solo stuff?  Fab for me too.  Although I have all the official solo albums, maybe a live album/DVD pack would be good, and if a 'Best of RT' as he intimates comes out then I hope that some rarities, alternate mixes and perhaps some new tracks are included too.  I have all the The Cross stuff too, but I hope that the best of their material can be included if they are brave enough to release a bigger set than just a one or two CD set.

You could at least respect John's choice to retire.  I doubt that he likes being disturbed by fan letters, e-mails, ect.

I love it how post-Freddie/QPR-haters are trying to use their full arsenal in order to show disapproval :) It's getting silly and above all very cliche.

Don't you lot ever get tired of yourselves?

You might be dreading it, but I'm looking forward to some new Queen news (yes I said "Queen", as Brian and Roger started the whole journey. Remember that obscure band called Smile? Nuff said.)

Mmm... so what if they started it?.  That doesn't mean that Brian is somehow more "Queen" than Roger, and Roger than Freddie, and Freddie than John...

That's a tired old argument, especially since it invokes a dead guy, and a retired guy who is practically dead.

I agree. My argument was meant for those who think Freddie was more "Queen" than the rest. This isn't the case and Freddie pointed this fact out many times: "I"m not the leader, I'm just the lead singer. We're four equal people."

Bloody hell... enough!

It's their band, and their name.  They can do whatever they want with it.

Plenty of other bands have lost members and they've continued on, and Queen aren't somehow exempt from doing the same.

The discussion has been going on for years.  It's time to move on and discuss something worth discussing.

I'm still hoping for a Smile reunion tour [/img]

On QZ you're more likely to get a Frown reunion :D
Back on topic I'm overwhelmed by indifference. If it happens in 2010 and seems to be going well I might develop an interest but not today.

Actually, I think we can all say that Freddie was more Queen than Brian, Roger, and John.  But that afro John started sporting made me wonder for a time...

I expected you would say David Bowie or Paul Rodgers was more Queen than Freddie, Brian, Roger, and/or John knowing your sense of humor ;)
