If Queen do tour again, I would love them to have Paul Rodgers back on the road with them, if not, singers such as Ian Hunter may be a good choice from Mott The Hoople, as Queen do have a long standing friendship with them since their early days.
I myself would love to see Queen roll out some tracks that have rarely been performed live, keep the classics that they do now, but it would be great to see some tracks such as Headlong, Innuendo, Tear It Up, Now I'm Here, things like that. Maybe some stuff from Roger's work with The Cross even, Manipulator and Heartland are my favourites.

lalalaa it's no trouble agreeing with someone lol.

As for whether they should have Paul back with them I wouldn't be too upset as I think he's ok and I wouldn't really have a preference as to who should replace him if they got another vocalist in

People really should stop referring to Brian and Roger as "Queen". No, there will not be a Queen tour in 2010, as the last Queen tour was in 1986 and it's not possible that there could ever be a new tour. Brian and Roger together is not Queen any more than a one-off Paul McCartney & Ringo Starr performance is a Beatles reunion.

I would have liked to see more solo albums from both Roger and Brian, but I wonder why he's now suddenly eager to write solo material as it's been more than 10 years since his last solo album. Both the Cosmos Rocks and the very long time since the last solo albums by R & B prove that Roger and Brian have absolutely NOTHING left in themselves musically, so people shouldn't expect much from any new material by these two guys. Queen's story, and at the same time these guys's careers, ended with Made in Heaven in 1995 - someone should update the info to Bri and Rog, it seems that they aren't aware of it.

There've been crap-loads of other bands that have recorded new material with a fraction of the originial! And think of it this way, if the other three had got pissed at Deaky back in the 80s and replaced him with someone else, how many of you would've cared that much? (BTW, I love Deaky and his songs, but the powerhouse that the other three still would create would make a new bassist not much to worry about. And concerning the hoopla about Deacon being "loyal to Freddie" and "not touring with Q+PR because he knows Queen is over", he told Brian and Roger to go ahead with it; he's just ready to settle down and live like a normal person.

As to Roger and Brian being musically drained, what the crap?! "Call Me" from Cosmos Rocks has to be the catchiest song I've heard since "Misfire"! I would gladly pick Cosmos Rocks over any CD out of the past 15 years! Even if your opinion is that they suck, just don't listen to them and let them do whatever the crap they want to. Plenty of musicians release filth all the time (many even choose to like it) and they should be allowed to. It's their right.

Queen needs to give it up, and the fans need to move on.  It's over and been over for a while.[/QUOTE]

If that's the case, then why are you even on this site?

Everbody have a opinion! :S ! and today we can't say that Queen is alive! just bri and Rog playing without Freddie and John don't stay cool! it'll have to call "HalfQueen"!

Brian and Roger can call it whatever they want to call it - they have the right...they have the blessing from John, from Freddie's family (you think Freddie's mum would have been in the audience if she didn't approve), from the various organizations including those overseeing Freddie's estate...

Brian and Roger making new music with the name of the band they founded and spent the majority of their lives in just makes sense.....and I fully support it

Can't wait for new music from them in any form......thought Paul was a great choice for them to work with...and it was absolutely fantastic to see them live.......I really enjoyed having the benefit of 15 new tracks from the new band "Queen and Paul Rodgers"......if they need someone else I'd recommend Jeff Scott Soto since he is so familiar with their material - especially the rarely played tracks.....can you imagine going to see Brian and Roger playing a concert and including songs like Great King Rat, White Queen, Sail Away Sweet Sister, You and I, White Man, Breakthru, Scandal, etc.etc. etc....

think having Brian and Roger playing themselves is wayyyyyyyyyyy better than any of the various tributes.....surprised people aren't also on here trying to shut those down for performing versions of Queen's music......

How refreshing to see someone post on this site in an articulate fashion, without insultng people or talikng shite, making sense and actually being positive.

A nice way to end my night on here, instead of the usual blood boiling I get from reading half the poster's tripe and drivel :)

I'm a fan of queen, that's why I'm on this site, lol,  but you really think Queen + paul was exciting?...The cosmos rockin?....Of course brian and roger have the right to use the Queen name, it's their band, but it's time to put the queen name to rest.  The only thing us queen fans want is the box set with rarities from the original 4.

You sound like a certain other poster I can think of quite easily. You should not speak for 'queen fans'. Speak for yourself only.

Yes we want the anthologies/box sets, but some of us also liked TCR and would like to see more from Q+PR like a follow up album. I am not being rude, just saying that you cannot speak for Queen fans like that.

I agree- of course seeing queen as queen would be better than pretty much anything i can think of in the world ever but it's not going to happen now. and I loved TCR and it made my life seeing Roger and Brian onstage. I can't wait for another tour, in whichever form it will take! And especially Roger solo stuff- I would die a very happy woman if I saw that. :D

I'm glad they got back together and did the whole Queen + paul thing. I got the chance too see a Queen related show for the first time. Got too see two of my musical idols live.  also got too see another musical legend paul rodgers play with them, but i think enough is enough.  Just my opinion, but if they keep going I hope they sing the songs themselves.  roger and brian are decent enough singers.  Roger is actually pretty good.

Just lately I've gotten really sick of PR's voice.  He's a capable singer and all but I only really get enjoyment from his voice when he's redlining it.  Most of the time he just sounds like he's coasting, and that's totally not what I thought blues was supposed to be about.

^He's a capable singer for sure, when he sang in his own bands.
