I will never lose respect for Brian, but I will be disappointed, no doubt about it, if he goes through with it. I've nothing against Lambert, but if Brian and Roger are going to team up with him, please don't call it Queen.

People say that so often I think it's lost all meaning.

If brian go's thru with this I'm throwing away all my queen albums.
And again the fanbase is divided. It will always be this way. I'm in the group of people who are open for new music, under the Queen banner or solo. Some of the collaborations have been quite strange to say the least, and I absolutely don't like all of them. The Queen & Paul Rodgers team-up has been good, but I think it's wise they stop there. Although the Cosmos Rocking was a good album, they didn't manage to make me jump of joy, and wander day and night waiting for the follow-up.
But remarks like these makes me wonder:
"Its not a good idea to ruin the legacy"
- Is this music or something which life depends on? Is it sacred and made of gold? When Brian, Roger and John are gone who gives a shit. Their legacy or whatsoever will always be that they were a great band, orignial, funny and creative. This is entertainment, showbiz - not life itself. Many people take this shit too seriously. To quote some wise words:
“It's only a bloody record, people get so exited about these things.”
and
"My songs are like Bic razors. For fun, for modern consumption. You listen to it, like it, discard it, then on to the next. Disposable pop."

Why be so melodramatic? Even if Brian and Roger teamed up with Brittney Spears and the Spice Girls, why would that affect what you think of the original Queen? I don't understand comments like this, as while I don't particularly want Brian and Roger to team up with Lambert either, I know that nothing that they do (not even the WWRY musical which I hated) can affect my love of the original Queen.

I was only kidding. I really don't take this stuff so serious. brian and roger could do what they want, and it will never change my opinion of the real queen.

Either you are a kid who shoudn't be taken seriously, or you are a grown up who doesn't want to be taken seriously.
On topic-
"Queen" for me are Freddie, Brian, Roger and John. "Queen +" was OK till the tribute concert.
After that, even the novelty factor doesn't count anymore. A new "Queen +" every couple of years, even if its just speculation, makes them look desperate. Q + PR was mainly ignored by the casual Queen fan and other rock music fans. I'm sure that the only people who lend them an ear at the concerts were Queen fans, and not people who were there just because they liked the new album and wanted to check out the band. It belittles their own position as rock n roll legends gives people the chance to argue that Queen = Freddie.
Brian and Roger can collaborate, make music, perform live with whoever they want, but just don't call it "Queen +". More than anythign else, they'd be taking the burden off their own shoulders, and then anything they come out with would definitely be worth listening to.
This is the truest most sensible post that just about says it all.
