Ah well, at least we have the single remix of 'Pain is so close to pleasure' on CD for the first time. As for 'Princes of the universe', I was hoping on the Australian sleeve re-released on CD-format, but now that it is coupled with 'Friends will be friends' I'm afraid that won't happen.

OK, I've changed my mind and bought volumes 1 and 2. Well, they LOOK NICE. That's the correct term, "nice". But still it's not worth more than 13gbp, sorry. I will buy volume 3 when I find it on eBay for a reasonable price

Well you do get to see this sleeve....it is a 'double A' side after all!

And here is the sleeve for the 'Princes' single.

Thanks for the scan Gary. Was there ever a plan to include liner notes? Any thoughts on making downloadable liner notes on queensinglesbox.com?

From the beginning of this project there was talk of a booklet but it was decided by the powers that be that it wasn't necessary....I can't see one being included in the final box set 4 either....sorry.

Waiting (im)patiently for the 12" collection boxset. Hopefully that will be the first thing Universal release but NOT at the same cost as these!
I'd have bought the singles collections if they £13 a box - there's only the equivalent of 1 & 1/2 CDs worth. I'm afraid the original idea of a 10 disc set like the Freddie set was a much better idea and I'd have happily paid £100 for that, but these are pretty unlistenable as they are. Who wants to change discs every 8 minutes??
If they truly are a limited run of 10,000 sets only, it's pretty obvious that Queen didn't expect sales to be much, and as far as I'm concerned these sets have wasted 4 release slots over two years :(
Where's Hammy 75 by the way? GB said it was "imminent" at Convention in March...

That's pretty bad. But I really like the idea of a "downloadable booklet". Would it be possible for you to tell/write it to "the powers" ?

Good questions, I hope they actually plan to release the 12" mixes properly, e.g. as "Volume 5" . The extended versions and instrumentals are the reason why I've been looking forward to the singles box when I first read about that idea.
Re: Hammy 75 - it would be logical to release it for the Christmas market. I hope "they" think it's logical, too :-)

Did anyone pick this up today?

Erm, where is the official INSTRUMENTAL edit of Radio GaGa, or are they leaving that for a 12" singles boxset???????

What makes you think that there WILL be a 12" singles boxset ? BTW they missed too many great song versions on this release ...

An Instrumental version of 'Radio Ga Ga' was not on the 7" single - which is what all these CD singles are based on. So you won't find any Instrumental or 12" Extended versions on these sets unless one was on the 7" version.

Well I hope you've an extended mix boxset planned, and that you won't forget to include the longer version of "A Dozen Red Roses..".
I don't suppose the tracklisting for boxset 4 has been confirmed yet has it? I'm curious to see how you're going to get 26 tracks out of that...
