Are we getting these in the United States or are these just getting released outside of it?

It is all crap. Why not do a live album from the early period. Again we well get what we allready have, really sad. I could use the F. word (For queen production). But i will not..

Take a look at all the other bands that are already putting out their catalogue for a second or even third time.

First time few bonus tracks are added like b-sides, second time they "suddenly discover" lost outtakes, the third time they come up with live concerts from the album period or DVD extras.

And this is what we will also have with Queen...that's the music business. The Show must go on - especially when bands are no longer active.

Queen rarely used non-album tracks as b-sides barring a few exceptions, so (thankfully) the good thing about this is that we will hopefully get some decent bonus tracks for every album reissued. There'll probably be more bias towards b-sides as we get into the late 80s as there were a lot recorded around the time of The Miracle. Even then I hope we get to hear stuff like I Guess We're Falling Out in excellent quality.

I can see songs like Mad The Swine and See What A Fool I've Been being part of these re-issues though..... hopefully with a couple of demos and live tracks each :D

The cool thing about the later albums, is that they contain different versions that were on the original Warner Brothers releases.  For example, on Chicago 17, the track "Please Hold On" is a completely different take of the original including a new verse never heard before.  On Chicago 13, we get Street Player in its full form.  The original LP, cassette, and 45rpm all were different edits of this original track.

Actually, Please Hold On on the Rhino remaster is the original album version. An alternate version was used on the first cd issue of the Chicago 17 album. The original album version was better IMHO. (Also Only You was a different mix on that first issue of the album onto CD.

As for Queen, I doubt EACH will have 5 EXACTLY. Some albums warrant far more while a few don't even warrant having 5. I'd like to say that I want Live Killers reissued with bonus tracks, like the 4 or 5 they performed on the tour that were left off of the original album.

My guess is pittrek will get coal in his stocking for Christmas this year - like every previous year :)

We all hope he's wrong, but his tracklist is pretty much what we can expect from the Queen camp based on the last 15 years' output.

My only wish is that we get a companion DVD with videos created for each song, using newsreel and stock footage (like ANATO 30th Anniversary).

Imagine the possibilities...

'Dragon Attack' set to footage of... (wait for it)... Dragons! and they would be Attacking erm.. something...
'Jesus' set to the torture scene from the Passion of the Christ.

Cant' Wait! :P

I'm fine with it, as long as Made in Heaven contains Freddie audio commentary.

I think they'll do it the cheap Queen way: B-sides, maybe one or two demoes. They might even include Smile's version of Allright on Queen I. WWRY Fast from some random gig on NOTW. That kind of stuff.

Oh bugger.
Do I HAVE to buy Night At The Opera AGAIN?????

They ought to do an exchange scheme with this album, considering the number of times it's been released.

But are these going to be released in the US or not?

A slightly strange question in the age of internet and sites like eBay :-) In the case it won't be sold in standard US record stores, you can buy them online

I don't think QP own the rights to the BBC tracks.... so I doubt very much we will be seeing these on the re-issues. Which is fine by me because we already have them in excellent quality!

Some people are ear talented, personally I'll would buy every album "again" if they would sound better than Mini LP's EMI-Toshiba 2004 edition, but engineers must to eliminate the high drum distortion present in EVERY ALBUM up to Magic, some bass distortions, some clicks and pops and to elevate slightly the volume level on Innuendo and of course if it's possible to make 32 bits transfers (although I doubt they will do it).

I've bought ANATO sixth times
and the other albums twice or three times

I was really expecting a third disc with live material =/
If it's Deluxe edition, it should deserve that name!

QPL obtained the rights for these from the BBC a few years ago apparantly.
