I'm curious to see what the extra 'Made In Heaven' tracks would be...possibly...
Rock In Rio Blues It's a Beautiful Day (single mix) Let Me Live (banned version) and perhaps 2 instrumental tracks?
And not being sold in the States, but available everywhere else. Hmm, awesome. And the music industry wonders why we have to download music elsewhere? Yeah, I'll pass and stick with the HR versions from 1991, and assume that once again America will happily get the shaft. Why waste my money for songs that I already have, doesn't matter if they were remastered by Andy Johns, Roy Thomas Baker, Bob Ludwig, Bob Rock, or any other famous producer out there? Give me a break! And to buy them online? You know, there's still that kid in me who loves going to a store and actually buying the CD or whatever, knowing that I can buy it, and in less than the 5 minutes it takes me to walk to my car, I can pop it in my CD player, and crank it up. Hogwash QP!! I can think of a few other choice phrases, but I'll stop here.

I'm afraid it works both ways. In 1991 - 92, I had to pay £20 EACH for the HR albums from a little shop in Newcastle who imported them. There was no internet then and this was the only way I could get them. We are lucky today that we can all buy over the internet and companies WILL ship things abroad.

I agree Bambams. I think the albums not being sold in the States is a poor decision. I didn't think about the HR deal, however, I did find "The Platinum Collection" on sale at Best Buy for $9.99, so it leads me to think the deal is expiring. I wonder when it does? I am thankful we have online resources to purchase the albums, but now I will be pickier on what I buy (depending on the new stuff included) just because I'll have to pay extra to get it shipped to the US.
When I originally made this post, I talked about the Chicago albums. Actually, I hope Queen Productions does a better job than Chicago on the re-issues. I've almost completed my collection of Chicago CD's, and the extra stuff included is pretty poor. I mean, on Chicago II the bonus tracks are single mixes that I already have on one of their billion GH's collections?! While I'm glad I have the albums remastered on CD (something I needed anyway), the bonus stuff leaves a lot to be desired.
So, guess I shouldn't expect too much from these Queen releases.

Well I can guarantee you that nice things will be as a bonus to the regular releases ! Many fans won't be dissapointed! Cannot tell more at this point!
We always moan about releases like another greatest hits, remaster compilation etc.etc. But anyone ever thought about the idea that QP had to make releases by their contract. They had to decide to release shit, otherwise they would have played their wildcards for other record labels. Queen wanted to leave emi ever since 2003.

Is this "insider info" or just a wish ? Because I start to be excited :-)

Well there will be exciting thingies, and not so exciting thingies like the common b-sides, and some different versions of course re-re-re-remastered. But also some exciting things...Though I am actually looking forward to some of the B-sides remastered.
Inside info. I was not dissapointed when I first heart it ! No 2cd sets as far I know, just bonus to the cd few tracks per cd.
But don;t expect new LIve DVD's in 2011.... for quite a while there won;t be a new live dvd.

I cannot give any hints sorry you bunch of "lying"(alternate) mad swine fools you've been ;-)

So basically the same as Hollywood Records remasters as I wrote some weeks ago ? :-)

wouldn't it be HILARIOUS if the extras on the reissues were REMIXES,... by contemporary artists??
LOL

Yeah Matt Z...I have "Killer Queen," the tribute album and listened to it once. Not my cup of tea.
So, it seems to be alternate takes, B-sides, that sort of thing. No one should expect anything real groundbreaking, because I am sure Queen will release a rarities box set years down the road (much like the FM collection). I just hope I'm alive (and can afford it!!! still haven't been able to get the FM box because it costs so much!)
:)

I'm sure the BBC sessions will be a candidate since Universal have an open door policy with the BBC.
