I'm rather looking forward to these re-releases especially in regards to these extra tracks, I know they have only mentioned "5 extra tracks" for the earlier albums but what's to say that come the 80's albums that we may not get more than 5 extra tracks, it could be that there is less material available for those earlier albums that are in a good condition.
Personally I'm looking forward to The Miracle & Innuendo the most as there's quite a bit of unreleased material known to exist for both albums.

Is there any tracks out there or recording from Freddie that has not been released already? Im talking about 1989 to 1991 (excluding of course: Face it alone, self made man, i guess we're falling out, and all those song we know already)

We always moan about releases like another greatest hits, remaster compilation etc.etc. But anyone ever thought about the idea that QP had to make releases by their contract. They had to decide to release shit, otherwise they would have played their wildcards for other record labels. Queen wanted to leave emi ever since 2003. =======================
Many fans won't be dissapointed...... You mean the ordinary ones right? Has it been so hard to tell on Queenzone that everything relied on EMI???? Anger and unbelieve have been around for quite a few years now as EMI ( so not QP??) was moneymilking their fans.
And perhaps an answer why no new DVD. Greatest Video Hits 3 or seventies concert? Isn't this just what the fans wanted? Who made that decision....?
Well .. Let's wait for the exiting new re-re releases. I will be the first one to tell if I was wrong with my thoughts

All album tracks will be carefully inspected for all types of noise, this noise will be completely removed to achieve a pristine un-natural sound, which will be given a loudness treatment so loud that 20 years from now Brian May can still hear the music without a hearing aid. The removed noise will be released as an accompanying bonus disc with each individual album. This should please all hardcore fans, who were expecting something special.

I hope on the re-issues they'll put a de-esser on all those highly sibilant Freddie vocals. It annoys me to no end, hearing those teeth whistle every time he makes an s-sound.

I can understand the pessimism regarding these, after all EMI/Parlophone never did anything with Queen's back catalogue for ages. However look what Universal/Island did with U2's back catalogue of their albums from Boy-The Joshua Tree, quite a few extra, rare & unreleased tracks between them, with some hope we may get the same with Queen's re-releases

Well, to say truth, if QP would be sane, they'd look for Genesis or King Crimson releases and if they do the new remasters, it'd be wise to do them stereo and 5.1 together and put them on hybrid SACD and/or another DVD for those without SACD players. If they'd put there a few "rarities" audio/video - well, ok (could there be really something we didn't hear before? - I shan't expect anything new, only that old stuff we all know...).
Anyway - as I see it now, it'll be another "almost the same remaster" for the third (or maybe more?) time + a few single "bonus" songs. Hmmm, nothing too exciting for me...

> What can we expect on the RE-ISSUES?
We can expect that they'll erase the line "With Elektra and EMI, we'll show you where it's at" out of Let Me Entertain You and replace it with some of Roger's screams.

I don't think there is much studio material in the vaults worth hearing. Just look at some of the crap that made it onto albums post 75. I would much rather each album be paired with a live concert from the period and this would make good business sense too since queen are generally regarded as the best live band ever.

Aside from The Who deluxe editions, they have been BORING for the most part (Def Leppard's reissues sucked BIG TIME).
Fuck U2. Those Irish pretty boys are, along with Bob Marley (whose been dead longer than half the people on here have been alive) and that Mickey Mouse tattooed trainwreck Amy Winehouse, are their cashcow! Queen's back catalog is getting shitty deluxe editions. I will PASS!
EMI did well with the Jethro Tull remasters (adding bonus tracks on all re-issues and in the case of Bursting Out, restoring that double album to full 2-CD set and adding the Slipstream DVD to the A remaster (as there were no outtakes from that album), expanding Warchild and The Broadsword and the Beast to the proposed double albums they would have made) as Ian Anderson worked with EMI (Capitol in the US) to make them great and the UK re-issues of the classic Deep Purple back catalog up to Come Taste the Band all have bonus tracks and/or alternate mixes/extra CDs with songs that didn't fit. Worthy mention is the 3-CD Pink Floyd Piper at the Gates of Dawn 2007 issue and the 2004 remaster of The Final Cut (which added When the Tigers Broke Free). Pink Floyd are now doing their back catalog over to coincide with the rarities collection due this year. EMI were scared to lose the distribution of the post-Dark Side catalog so they had to apologize to PF and beg them to stay.
Brian May and Roger Taylor (apart from the live albums/DVDs of Milton Keynes, Wembley and Montreal) have desecrated the Queen name in the last decade. John Deacon I believe is glad he is no longer working with Brian and Roger.

RonB - I burst out laughing when I read your post concerning what the reissues might be. Seriously, I was on the floor crying with mirth. A REMASTERED PLATINUM COLLECTION? Give me a break. Although, considering how low QPL have sunk, this wouldn't surprise me. This brings me on to a bone I have been picking for about a year now: What the hell was the point of Absolute Greatest?! All of the material there is avaliable on Platinum Collection anyway, plus about 20 more hits. And as for the reissued MiH - it's a fine album, one of the finest, no question, BUT... when it was being recorded it was partially pieced together from leftovers, so what will the bonus tracks be for that? A random guess will be the Freddie versions of Made in Heaven and I Was Born To Love You, and while they're great, they would be considered repeats in every sense. Better set the barrier low, because if you're saying is true, we better 'see what fools we've been' since our hopes of a grandiose boxset are 'long away' and might as well ask ourselves 'was it all worth it'?

I just heard the GH I & II remasters and are great. The songs sound incredible! I'm glad to QP make this. I think this can show queen to a new audience. Hope the albums remasters sound like the GH.
