*sigh*
People are acting like we don't know how this will turn out, like it's some sort of mystery thing that's never been seen before.
Here's the kicker though - Lambert has played with Brian and Roger before, and it stank both times. 2 for 2. It's a damn fool who repeatedly tries the same thing and expects different results.
Sure I'll keep an open mind. Maybe they'll have a word with him about honing his craft a bit. I'm not optimistic though; no new information has come to light that will suggest this will be any better than his previous (shitty) collaborations with Queen.

I think we should give Adam a chance, he is till fairly new to the music business and i have no problems with this, Brian and Roger want to keep the Queen legacy alive and i support them in that

No, they don't.
They know that they can't keep asking same people to buy the same stuff over and over and over again (although they gave it a good go)- so now they are trying to hit a different target group. Like people who think that X Factor is music. Or 12-year old who can't remember what Queen really was.
4 years ago they sang C-lebrity, now they sing WITH one. Legacy? Give me a break, listen to March of the Black Queen and telll me how exactly is that keeping their legacy alive... Meanwhile we still don't have even ONE DVD with a concert from 70s- a time when this band was among Led Zeppelin, Deep Puprple and The Who one of the BEST live bands in the world... Instead we have a musical, a tour with a star of a crap TV show and next week we are going to get a new album called "Deeper Cuts- The Stuff That wasn't on any previous Compilation" and the re-release of the new remasters of the prebvious remasters of all albums, each one with one additional bonus track, never heard before...
Legacy alive. LOL. They are raping it with almost every single decission nowadays.

There was a time when this board had informed and interesting debate by fans...sadly it's currently populated 90% by fuckwits. I am so sick of reading crap from 12 year olds that think they know what Freddie would have wanted... morons hating everything the band do from books to DVD's to concerts...why the fuck are you here? you dont have any idea what Queen is about clearly.
Personally I will be interested to see what happens with Lambert, dont know much about him, but if they think he's talented I'm cool with that, they are the ones who have sold a billion records not me so who am I to say? I liked Paul Rodgers he got them out on tour and did a great show, no he's not Freddie, and neither is Lambert but guess what fuckwits Freddie is dead so get over it.
I'm perfectly happy if people dont like what they have been doing, but if so how about reasoned debate rather than Rodgers is Aids...etc for gods sake grow up[/QUOTE]
Both this place and Queenonline are now a virtual cesspool. No wonder Brian and Roger don't listen to fans when THESE are the fans speaking.

I dont know what to say in reply to Fendereks post
But what i will say is when i was talking about Queens legacy, they are obviously trying to get younger newer fans and these people will not know about some of the lesser known songs they will only care about songs that are most famous like all the Queen anthems which is what Queen is essentially all about
Everybody knows
We are the champions
We Will Rock you
Another One Bites the dust
The Show Must go on
Bohemian Rhapsody amongst other great songs that are most popular
I will still say just give Adam a chance to show what he can do with a possiblity of a full Queen set, people can choose to agree or disagree, not everybody has the same opinion and thats fine

I would love to go to Sonisphere on Friday and Saturday ,but being dissabled means that i need a carer to go with me.Most of my friends who could take me are not into Kiss and Queen.

Yeah really who the hell wants them back if they're with him. He was a complete atrocity at the AMA's, he really butchered the songs. He's an embarrassment and Brian and Roger should disassociate themselves from him if they have any shred of self respect and dignity for Queen.

Paul Rodgers is aids. He is fucking aids.
He FUCKING RUINED every Queen song he's tried to sing.
Adam Lambert is a great singer, no matter what some fellas here say. He didn't learn to sing on American Idol, anyone can check out Crawl Thru Fire from The Zodiac Show. Or his stuff with The Citizen Vein.
People who like Paul Rodgers, have cancer. I'M SORRY FOR YOU.

Good luck in finding a way to be there, Philip! :)
Living in Brazil, all I can hope for right now is that they come around again, as in 2008. :)
Cheers,

One word about those that say this will be the second coming of Freddie (well... the N-th is more likely): DENIAL.
One word about Brian thinking he speaks for Freddie or any other dead person: DENIAL (or senility?).
They have all the rights to do whatever the fluck they want with their legacy. I just can't understand why they do it, though. I thought one embarassment would be enough.

"Adam Lambert is a great singer"
He has the *capacity* to be one, which is what made his guesting with Queen the last time so fuckin' offensive to the ears.
Lambert has the voice and the control to do a good show, and instead he ... fuck, there isn't a word for that audio train wreck he foisted on us.

Any adjetive you could come up with, is NOTHING compared to how Paul Rodgers raped and killed Teo Torriatte.
