Guitar solo was totally out of place. It was also very un-innovative...

freddie on the giant screens was great. The wwry performance could have been better with me singing, haha! . Anybody noticed that at the end of the improv. freddie says "thank you" instead of "fuck you". i think they used the budapest gig for that final line.[/QUOTE]
I noticed that too.
I was very dissapointed that they had to ruin the performance with Jessie J's horrendous "singing".

Left me feeling a little underwhelmed. Asides from Freddie it lacked any grandeur.

My fave bit wasnt really Queen - well Brian and Rog's bit, but the bit where Victoria Beckham nearly shit herself when her taxi reversed and she wasnt expecting it...
The whole closing ceremony was a bit of a let down to be honest.

Was that a new solo from Brian, yawn, no need, FFS.
Jessie J was fine in my opinion, She is a real talent and has a fantastic voice. It wasn't perfect, but far better a real musician sings with them than Glambert.

It was really nice to see Freddie and also to hear the first part of Bohemian Rhapsody played.
I thought Jessie J was ok never heard about her before she has an amazing voice. Brian shouln't have played that solo though I found people reacted well to it (probably not t.v. audiences) I was hoping for We Are The Champions.
The whole ceremony was kinda boring!

I think Brian playing the solo was the highlight of the set.

I thought it was fine, enjoyed it, and a slightly different mini solo...I like to hear the Red Special resonate across a stadium! I watched the live stream and just finished the tape delay in the US..I thought for sure they would cut the guitar solo...they did not! As far as Jessie J..she was OK, I was expecting worse. oh, for the George Michael fans out there, his second song was not shown in the US.

It was shown on the live streaming from NBC, not sure about the replay or not.

In case you want to rewatch the performance (don't know how long it will stay up since the Olympic Committee is obsessive about taking down videos -- maybe this one will squeak by because of the so-so quality):

Oh, better quality. Queen part starts at 3:45:

Looked to me like they commanded the place unlike many, if not all, of the other acts. No one even came close. They were the "rock" in the rock n' roll!!!

Loved Brian and Roger last night and Jessie J was great, a little bit screechy but it did not ruin the song i dont think and she pulled off a freddie move kneeling down at the guitar :)
