Freddie part was the best! Jessie J was horrible, but Rog and Brian still rocked!

it was not from the live aid concert unfortunately., still it was awesome to hear the whole stadium do the 'Mercury-thing' again., loved the show and Brian did great as well on the guitar to my opinion.

I especially enjoyed the Bohemian Rhapsody segment and when they brought Freddie on screen to do his improvisation with the crowd and Brian looked fantastic in his flowing coat

What the hell was wrong with the sound? Brian sounded messy an Jessie J. had a delay on her microphone.

You guys hypocritically moan too much....FIRST it's years of bitching how Brian and Roger continuously pimp out WWRY/WATC at a lot of these small appearances, and now that Brian actually does something a little DIFFERENT contrary to your expectations for these kind of appearances (with a guitar solo of all things - not that it was bad at all...IMO I think it went down very well!), you take a 90º turn elsewhere on Bitch-Bitch-Bitch Avenue!
MOANZONE indeed!! Lighten up idiots

at the end of Brighton Rock, it looked as if Brian lost his Plectron. I was a little scared, he would mess up the rest, but he delivered quite well. The overall sound of the Ceremony was unfortunately not so good

There was a bad sound quality for the whole thing, it sounded very tinny for the most part

I had my Live Aid moment watching the queen segment yesterday (actually today morning 03:15 am my time- I slept 2 hours and then woke up to a manic monday :( )
I am exaggerating ofcourse, but i hope u understand the sentiment. This was the first time ever that i saw queen play in real time. I stated earlier (so did others) that the sound did not seem quite right during the telecast, but when brian started his solo somehow the volume and soudn quality went up a notch, atleast in my head.
to me, brians solo was the high-point of the whole show. Actually in my opinion the whole show was a no-show, except for Brian's solo and freddie's bits.
In my opinion WWRY was far from being the worst performance of the night. Eventhough it does not hold a candle to even brian singing the song by himself.
It was nice to see George Michael on the stage (i thought he was very ill is what i's heard somewhere) but his performance was mediocre.
Actually that could be said about all the performaers, except Brian (and roger...though he had avery small part). All looked old. And Muse.....well they did not look too good to me. There was no joy in their playing....it was the closing ceremony of the grandest sportign event ....a celebration....but Muse looked angry. In that way...the old-timers looked like they had the right idea.

I was in the stadium last night and the whole Queen bit went down very well in the venue itself.
The screens with Freddie were very effective. Much better than I imagine a small hologram standing in the middle of the stadium would have been. Brian's solo really sounded great in the venue and to be honest it did not really matter who was singing WWRY, that song with Brian and Roger will always get the desired result. The audience lapped it up and in my view Jessie J did a reasonable enough job. Apparently from what people tell me there were problems with some of the sound on TV, but in the stadium it was really good throughout.

Glad the night built up to them, it was musically fitting and pleasing.
Visually, the wide shot of Brian and Jesse J approaching from opposite ends of the stage was a thrill. These days I try not to be so comparative to the past because it can drive a persons expectations to bits. Just let it unfold and see what's on for the night. Any moment with Queen is glorious versus a moment without.
Finally a stylist got hold of Brian and he had on a proper ensemble to match this special night with a specially designed coat and new shoes to match (I like this new red & black thing going on with Brian (perhaps Adam has sneaked into his wardrobe closet and lent a hand to get it sorted and updated)). Brian's fabric tribute to the wildlife of Great Britain was so Brian May - a reminder to GB that there's room for badgers and foxes (and some hedgehogs too) on team GB!
For anyone not satisfied - try watching the horrendous Brazilian portion that came after. Well then, they've got 4 years to work that bit because it was soooooooooo awful. A real snoozer. Imagine 16 days of that torment!
