There's still some cuts.
Before Freddie says "This is Under Pressure.", on the bootleg he says "What the fuck are we doing?". He doesn't on Hungarian Rhapsody CD's.
Then one "hey" is missing before Hammer To Fall - on the bootleg you can clearly here Freddie going "hey hey hey hey hey" but on the Hungarian Rhapsody CD's, he only goes "hey hey hey hey".

I compared some more now - the little guitar warm up before Crazy Little Thing Called Love is also missing from the Hungarian Rhapsody CD's.

Would you find the time to check for all cuts/overdubs etc. ?

I notice Brian's guitar sounded different from the Liar intro into Tear it up without him near his pedal board

Budapest edits:

One Vision - initial guitar solo overdubbed
"what the fuck are we doing" missing before Under Pressure
a few seconds missing before after Under Pressure
a few seconds missing before CLTCL
silence between encores shortened

I think that's it.

Or ... didn't someone once say there were Freddie overdubs on Under Pressure? I don't remember any off hand. The Roger backing vocal in the second verse that was on the old VHS has been removed.

Here is another missing bit in Freddie's speech before Who wants to live forever:

Freddie says at some point ''If it wasn't for you we would not be here tonight, EVEN THIS IS OUR FIRST NIGHT, thank you very much we will be back'' etc..

The line ''Even this is our first night'' is missing on the new release.

Excellent, just what I needed. Any chance you would do the same for Knebworth - audience recording and Live Magic please ?

There's a sound missing in A Kind Of Magic during the bass and drums solo, a bit after the "we'll soon be gone" before it. The percussion on the VHS goes tut-tut-tut-tut-tut-pam-tut-tut, but the pam is replaced with another tut in Hungarian Rhapsody (I noticed that even in the A Kind Of Magic video they posted online back in September). The pam is also faintly audible on the bootleg, so for some reason it was "fixed" in Hungarian Rhapsody.

"Any chance you would do the same for Knebworth - audience recording and Live Magic please ?" Before Seven Seas Of Rhye on Live Magic, Freddie goes "Hello!

I don't care what any performer says... you won't find a live release of any kind that doesn't have some kind of minor fixes / edits on it. And I consider these Budapest edits (esp. considering what a perfectionist band Queen were in the studio) minor and perfectly fine.

Hearing Freddie's voice crack on FBG from Live at the Bowl is interesting, and yes true to history, but not what i want coming out of my speakers every time i play the song...

anyway - as a fan, i do really enjoy knowing what they've taken out and changed for various releases, so many thanks to those who have taken time and effort to compare bootlegs with official releases.

and last, as one who purchased the deluxe Blu-Ray and CD set, I think it's the finest sounding Queen concert release since Montreal (by far). The film transfer is truly stunning and the band's performance was stellar. Though I was slightly disappointed when this was first announced (b/c it's been out there before and seen by most) i'm convinced now that this show deserved a proper updated release. One of their finest shows from the Magic Tour imho...

Electronic drum effects during Brian's solo in Who wants to live forever are missing, but they could of been added to the mix on 87 vhs version. Just a little annoyed the snare drum sound has been messed with. Love the snare sound on 87 mix and live magic cd. Still little disappointing they left out a lot of behind the footage scenes. (most of what we seen on youtube and magic years vhs.)
