Ahhh, thanks. I wonder if Channel 4 happens to have their own footage of the entire concert. Maybe Queen should ask them. Still nothing like the full uncut negatives, mind you, but still valuable.

One of those unofficial documentary DVDs has bits of the Budapest TV footage. So it's definitely in good shape, somewhere.

I remember reading somewhere that the concert was supposed to be broadcast on nation-wide TV in Hungary, so if that's true, then maybe Hungarian TV could have the footage somewhere.

I noticed this as well when I watched the gig recently. I don't think his guitar sound changed that drastically during the other Magic tour dates, nor during the VHS version Budapest, so maybe it's an overdub.

Not a surprise for me. People expected a full version of that gig, not a remastered version of the old very same release from the 80's.
