Oh yeah! He will. He doesn't understand simple fans wishes
He DOES understand our wishes: he is after all a fan like we are.
The sticking point is Brian, Roger and (more so I gather) Jim Beach. It doesn't matter what Greg, Gary, Justin et al suggest to QPL with regards ideas and track listings, if the 'Three who Rule' say no, then it's a "no".
Sure, it pisses us all off, but can you imagine how pissed off Greg et al must be at having heard this stuff, want a copy for themselves, and the band say "no, we won't release it"?

People think that GB has free reign to the whole Queen archive and is in a position to release what he wants but just isnt coz he is a bastard. Simply not true. He is in an impossible situation. If he posts on this site about what is available but not being released people hate him. If he gets fed up with being here and stops posting people hate him. No matter what spin you put on it its pure jealousy. Greg, disappear and don't come back.... for your own sanity.

Wow, pretty blasting post from Greg Brooks. Surprised that he would get this upset from a few "burnt" fans. I imagine these fans are the ones who have been told to expect many releases, but those releases never see the light of day.
I am indifferent on the new YouTube project. I'll check it out, because I simply love all stuff Queen.
Let's release more stuff for the fans Greg. Convince QPL and Brian, Roger, Jim, etc to release material! Freddie has been gone 21 years, I'd like to see releases with Brian and Roger's commentary because they are still around. Queen fans are pretty loyal, let's get some box sets going.
Pretty sure if you do that, people will start loving you.

I'll also add, make the box sets affordable. As an American fan, I am tired of walking into stores and seeing great box sets from The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, but nothing from Queen! Of course, there was that overpriced "Cosmos Rocks" LP box set with albums on vinyl...
I'll eventually get that awesome box set of Wembley, but it's pretty expensive.
But, profit must be made...

I`m sorry but I am agree with you. He provides incomplete information, besides, he blatantly lied. here is example his letter which he sent to me long time ago.
1. Good work on sharing private communication. I'm sure he'll be happy to talk with fans more privately knowing they will share it all later on.
2. When was this letter from? Are you such an idiot that you don't understand that plans change. Greg is in an impossible place. He has access to the material we'd all LOVE to see/hear. He also can't discuss much and probably isn't quite sure what he should or shouldn't be saying. Then when he does let little nuggets of information out, he's killed because it's not what you want OR perhaps in this case it was in the plans at the time of writing or even what he was proposing.
Then John declined use of the interview because he doesn't like the way he looks in a bad purple shirt or the band decided in one of their meetings at Rog's pad...No we don't want to go Hammersmith...let's start towards the beginning...let's go Rainbow first! And Hammersmith is put in the background. Absolutely not Greg's fault yet he will take the blame for "promising" something. Greg can only say what he's working on or what he's been told to work on (and we're lucky we know that half the time), but he's not the one who decides if/when to release such work.
And let's look at what he says. he says what they have.
At the time this was the next DVD planned after Budapest was to be released...and so details changed.
The point being, is you can't hold someone to a personal communique where he privately releases some framework of plan and then call him a blatant liar when things don't work out completely that way.

I'm also convinced that the Rainbow November 74 concerts were also filmed on videotape
I'm sure that new youtube channel will be something interesting, but I hope you understand any soundboard quality demo leak will make fans feel much better than all the hard work you got there to show some nice items.
We really thank you but it's just music what we made us all love Queen.
All the other Queen related things are welcome but can not be as good as music.
It's like being hungry, but you can only get cook books.
Yes, they can be very interesting but they are not food.
Thanks for reading this.

Agreed! Rainbow Nov 74 is definitely shot on Video. No doubt about it. (As is Hyde Park 76, Earls Court 77 etc etc). I find it amazing that some people can't tell the difference in picture quality. Well, it's not a matter of 'quality' - it's just a different medium.
The only thing I can suggest is that people are using the word 'film' to mean any visually recorded medium. In which case, we're getting into semantics!!

According to queenlive.ca, an incredible source of Queen knowledge, HP was shoot on 16 mm.
Stored on 16 mm doesn´t mean recorded on 16 mm...
Hyde Park was shoot on video. it doesn´t look like film even in the best source (the last official Queen documentary).
Absolutely!
I'm also convinced that the Rainbow November 74 concerts were also filmed on videotape, yet all we hear from QPL now is 'film'....
Acording Gary Taylor, Rainbow was shoot on 2" video tape.
I have a theory: they stored the gig on 35 mm for the cinema release and that´s why QP though it was filmed on 35 mm.
As earwig says, maybe there´s a semantic "problem" with the participe "filmed" used as equivalent of "recorded"... that´s why i always use the word "shoot" for video, and eventually "recorded" for film (and if i can i specify "how many" mm)

They may also be confusing things between the November gigs and the March gig (which was shot on film).

Why was it stores on 35 mm ? Could it be because of the use in cinema's ? Do those projectors use 35mm films ?
