Greg, we need more details about AMAZING NEW RAINBOW PROJECT
You can't honestly believe he is free to spill the beans on this. He dropped us a big hint. He threw us a bone so that's better than nothing. I wasn't around when certain other projects were hinted and didn't materialize so I don't feel your angst. Nevertheless, the timing for a Rainbow package is now perfect. One last 80s show has been released (and I love it- better than Wembley to me) and Mr. Brooks is well aware of disappointments in the past...I highly doubt he would drop this juicy tidbit for us unless all systems were on "go".

I shall make a prediction. Over the next five years there will be things released that even the most bitter critic will have to say, "wow". I think the absolute surprise of the orchestrated Barcelona project is proof there isn't laziness.

Seems nothing has changed on QZ ;-)

Greg gets us fans excited about some secret Rainbow project, but leaves the key questions unanswered.
What a teasing beast he is!!!!

He should be telling us every tiny detail about the proposed set, so that when it emerges there is no surprise element at all. We will all have known exactly what we're getting MONTHS in advance. Greg should also tell all the children around the world exactly what Santa has brought them for Xmas. Who cares about expectation and excitement and surprise any more?????

I wouldn't puff myself up too much if I were you (or QPL). It's not as if it's a never seen before gig. Just better quality.
"expectation and excitement and surprise" went into the bin years ago. It's just re-cycled stuff now. Brian and Roger are artistically redundant (as you would be Mr. Brooks in a saner world).

you're right about artistic redundancy on Bri/Rog's part
however, what exact artistic capability are you referring to when you imply that GB has also lost his?

Do you know that for sure? If yes then can you please tell us what will be released over the next five years and why it will be so special?

GREG,

My last question has been left unanswered. Mind giving an answer, please? Take a look at your PMs.

I really hope that if a Rainbow release does materialise, that they include at the very least some of the footage/audio from the March '74 show. There is so little available from the Queen II tour it would be nice if we had some of the un-bootlegged tracks see the light of day (that is assuming they still have the tapes). :)

Yeah! i agree with you... they must have at least footage of Son and Daughter and Modern times rock and roll!

the problem with anything "unseen" that they might have is a very very very basic one
QPL/brian/Roger have a bit of a dilemma

put it out and we've no more anticpation/expectancy, don't put it out and some mugs will buy the other shit in the meantime
stringing us along would appear to be the more profitable route

well, no, but all the hints are there and with the movie in the works it just feels like the right time. What other event could occur that would be "striking while the iron is hot" than the movie?

How is it that we should be happy and excited about this?
