Lovev the side tracked conversation. Btw I love innuendo and Mih

But this is sooo off topic. The initial post was about a marquee gig where Freddie was allegedly punched in combat over the name QUEEN

Weve stopped chatting about the topic of freddie getting punched as it is just a ridiculous
waste of space on here.
im more concerned about how Bri & roger plus Queen productions treat the fans appallingly
over not releasing any 70s Queen concerts on dvd.
Quite strange that some of these shows always show there heads at Queen conventions,
but never for the concerned Queen fan to own privately?
Fans of other artists like the Beatles and Elvis get treated a million times better than us faithfull
Queen fans.
There is endless supply of goodies up for sale in the shops of those artists but Queen fans have to beg and beg
and oh Brian, Rog, and Queen productions, jim beach do not want to know, now go away they say!
charming eh!

Yeah i agree Queen did deteriate from 1982 onwards
but Hot space was not as bad as innuendo and made in heaven, for it had some catchy tunes on it.
"put out the fire" was a great tune.
i agree in that there will never be an official release
of any 70s Queen show.
good that we have bootlegs to look back on and bad news for Brian and Roger if bootlegs are spiralling out of control,
its there fault cos the fans have demanded Queens 70s concerts on dvd for years now.

Excuse me for not caring too much about the opinion of someone who says Innuendo is worse than Hot Space, after going on a flame-rant because he was incapable of reading the original post in this topic correctly. Seriously, you have frustration issues that could put a whole generation of psychologists through college, and your attitude towards facts (and reading) is frankly nihilistic.

Mr Wizard thank you for pointing out my obvious lapse into confusion over understanding what were the classic Queen years! I like many others must have confused those amazing guitar sounds and wonderfully constructed early songs as being better than the simpler pop direction of the 80's. I am a complete fool for doubting all the Gerry said!

Matt z and Thomasquinn you must free your minds of thoughts of albums such as Innuendo or Made In Heaven being good, or any of the 70's albums being worth anything artistically. For Freddies Euro Disco coke and vodka fueled pop songs and JD's Chic "influenced" Bass lines were where the raw artistic freedom within the band flourished and Freddie became the untouchable high priest of all things vocal. Never let anyone dare to sing a Freddie vocal line in connection with BM or RT for the winged messenger's disciple will bring forth flash and thunderfire to destroy all who stand in the path of all that is not Freddie and all that is BM, RT or AL.

Take heed the prophet has spoken, Gerry is the true keeper of the sacred words Freddie Mercury, let no one ever question this true visionary's view of what Queen were really about for he and he alone knows the truth.

People you must denounce all that you have said or thought if it is not the true word that Freddie was and always will be the only member of Queen who ever wrote, sung, played or recorded anything worth listening too.

We are all face great peril. We must kneel down and sing the name of Gerry and ask his forgiveness for the 40+ years of error and sin we have committed by believing this to be a band and not realizing the true greatness of Freddie

All hail Gerry, our true saviour!

Wow ... tell me you're under the age of 12..

The post you were responding to is probably the most honest and accurate thing that's ever been said to you, but you're too thick to even consider the possibility.

Hey (Real Wizard) i am not the thick one on here sunshine, and if i were you id have a bit more respect
for people like myself who are older than you.
i have Queen posters older than you!
A lot of guys on here like to bitch and rant, but my comments come very much from the heart
and i am very passionate about Queen and in particular Freddie, who does not get the respect
on this site like he should do.
i hardly take note of nasty comments on here because i know better than yous lot.
41 years of been a true Queen fan, and by the way Queen today are not the band
they were from 1971 to 1991.
Queen died as a group on November 24 1991.
May & Taylor plod on for the hell of it, but they have made serious mistakes along the way
one of which was to let Adam Lambert destroy the entire Queen back catalogue
with his constant howling on stage.
please dont moan at me saying whats that got to do with the original topic on this thread
well it doesnt ha ha but at least i get to say what i feel as a devoted Queen fan, and how very very disappointed
i am with Dr.May & Mr.Taylor, no wonder Deacon got out when he did, wise wise man,
Any Future release of Adam Lambert & Queen goes on the bonfire for me, shove it !

No offence, but simply being older than somebody else doesn't mean you deserve respect. Not dying is really easy, billions of people do it every day and many of them don't learn a damn thing in the process.

Gerry, The Real Wizard is one of the most sensible and educated people on here. He has a wide knowledge of music and the people who perform it. Unlike your out of focus views.

Being as you've once again felt the need to mention Adam Lambert, your pet hate I know, I felt should point out that he hasn't ruined "the entire Queen back catalogue" because I think you'll find that, just like Freddie, he hasn't performed "the entire Queen back catalogue" live.

You maybe free to point out you're not the thick one here, however the content of your posts may lead some to believe different.

stick up for your friend mr. but you will find i have every right to express my opinion
unlike you telling me oh im out of touch and focus, which is bollocks.
i dont give a flying fuck if real wizzard has an O.B.E im not bothered what he thinks or
you for that matter.
Lambert has performed many Queen songs on stage and ruined them.
Queen are not the fantastic group that they were known to be, because now
they are destroying there legacy with some freaky karaoke singer in a pervy leather coat.
christ its more like Queen meets the rock horror show.

... but I don't whine about demanding respect, and I am not a drama queen that drones on and on about a certain American Idol runner-up.

"Spiteful evil Queeny"? Really?
