Gerry, from your previous comments you are obviously a homophobe and as such do neither yourself or us, a favour so FUCK OFF.

The majority of Queen fans are straight but have had the gumption and bravery to openly follow a band who's lead singer was obviously gay.

But more than that they have defended him. And as such are a source of warmth and strength to us, Queen's gay fans.

You, my friend, are in a rapidly dwindling minority of bigots.

Wake up and come back when you can see clearly.

gerry is either a deliberate troll, or mentally ill. The way he accuses everyone who doesn't agree with him (i.e. everyone) of being an Adam Lambert-fan shows that he is extremely paranoid, his frequent use of terms like "TRUE Queen fan" betray a level of fanaticism rarely encountered outside the ranks of, say, nazi sympathisers. The term 'stepford' doesn't fit him, it's far too mild. "Queen Jihadist" might be closer to the truth.

SPLICKSPLACK : You are a silly little annoying prick, firstly i am not homophobic

There are plenty of homophobes that are gay. It's called self-hating.

Most are closeted and use it as a diversionary tactic to deflect any suspicions away from themselves.

If indeed you are gay, and I'll just have to take your word for that, then I am surprised that you use words like "freakish" and "pervy" to describe someone .

These are words that most gay people find distasteful because they will remember being described as such when they were growing up.

For you, as a gay man, to use them to put someone down is disturbing and unpleasant.

BTW I don't "accept everything' as you say (based on nothing whatsoever). I cannot stand AL but that is because of his voice, not because of the way he dresses.

How you can say "freaky karaoke singer in a pervy leather coat. christ its more like Queen meets the rock horror show" is beyond me. Have you actually seen what FM has worn over the years???

I don't owe you an apology but you do get my sympathy because the wiring is wrong somewhere.

oh dear i seem to have ruffled your feathers babe, well when i was growing up i never got called a freak or a perv
so maybe i hit a nerve here with you when i described adam lambert as looking freakish and a perv.
you seem to have been the subject of homophobia yourself, and im sorry for that.
I can describe someone as freaky and a perv without it meaning anything to do with been gay, i think you are
been very over sensitive and a drama queen.
Nothing wrong with my wiring but maybe something wrong with yours darling
Freddie had a reason to dress the way he did cos it was the 70s, glam and glitter and flamboyancy
was all over the music industry.
May be you were not born then but at least freddie looked better than lambert any day of the week.

why dont you join "One Directions" fan club, after you have the mentality for that.
i have probably appreciated Queen longer than you, so i can say what i do.
41 years!
yes you have appreciated queen longer. but that doesn't make you some kind of guru....in fact - if anything - your "queen experience" belies an ignorance of quality in the catalogue
.as regard "being a fan" - cos you've reduced it to a pissing contest - then yeah, you beat me on that - my 40th year as a queen fan is next year - i caught on late in the story - with the first top ten hit - Seven seas of Rhye.
But kudos to the fan who followed them BEFORE they even had a record out
gerry wrote:oh dear i seem to have ruffled your feathers
as regards your ability to ruffle feathers - or otherwise. You flatter yourself....and seriously over-estimate your own importance/ability....

wiper!  Ah fart in your general direction!  Your mother was a hamster, and
   your father smelt of elderberries!"

I know I'm not entitled to a second of your time and all, but could you please explain me how you got into Queen in 1972? I asked you this question the other day but you didn't give me a proper answer. Maybe you've explained it to someone else on here before? Well, I've found no such explanation as of yet.

"Why are you so damn curious?", you may ask me. That's because I have never met a Queen that's been following the band since any period before they released their debut album. So, I would be very grateful if you could tell me the story of you becoming a Queen fan 41 years ago. Or just a simpler question, how did it happen?

Thanks in advance.

Yes you did hit a nerve and the fact that you can dismiss it so easily demonstrates what a thoroughly unpleasant person you are.

I’m no expert on these matters but I believe that the ability to totally distance oneself from the feelings of others is one of the signs of a psychopath.

You seem to believe that people can only express themselves dependant on the current norms of society re “Freddie had a reason to dress the way he did cos it was the 70s, glam and glitter and flamboyancy”. So that implies that AL is odd because he chooses something that is not in tune with current trends. NEWS FLASH: everything is a re-invention and if no-one went against the grain we’d still be listening to Bach and Handel and wearing sack-cloth. I guess you hate Lady Ga Ga as well.

Re “you seem to have been the subject of homophobia yourself”. Well of fuckin course. We live In homophobic times. Every element of our gay lives are touched by a world controlled by white, straight men. So don’t pretend to live in some sort of privileged gay utopia. Walk into a straight pub in a non-metropolitan town with a boyfriend, holding hands and being affectionate and see what happens.

Also, if you want to be taken seriously dispense with the “darlings” and the “babes”. Affectations of that sort only show up the fact that your point of view is weak. Just stick to the facts (in the unlikely event that you have a coherent argument)

In conclusion, while you have hit a nerve you certainly haven’t “ruffled my feathers”. I’ve dealt with bigger and cleverer than you, who were sharper and more insightful than your limited intellect (so wonderfully displayed by your juvenile posts) will ever have the joy of experiencing.

You got me all wrong matey, ( notice ive stopped calling you babes l.o.l)
firstly im a lovely guy and certainly not a psychopath !
im very puzzled why you would stick up for shit like lady ga ga or adam lambert?
I thought Queen fans were very select and fussy folk but you soud easy pleased!
Youll be telling me next you have a James Arthur cd l.o.l
On your rant about homophobia, i think no gay couple would dare walk into
a regular pub holding hands, thats just suicide isnt it?
We have Gran Canaria if you wanna canoodle with your man!
if i have upset you then i reservedly appologise!
see im not a bad guy am i. (Keep yourself alive!)

You've just proven my point - by assuming that I "accept everything Brian and Roger puts [sic] under my nose i.e.e Adam Lambert" simply because I think you're a jerk. Queen jihadist indeed. And none too bright at that.

i had queen as my favourite band through from age 11 - starting grammar school, the glories of seeing the BBC attempt different clumsy edits of Bo Rhap on ToTP thru Nov/Dec 75 as it reigned supreme for nine weeks, also seeing the OGWT queen christmas special , two of the band appearing on TISWAS with Sally James, seeing them open the new NEC in 79, going to MK, back to the NEc in 84, wembley and Knebworth....queen were with me through most of my growing up, i became a collector getting some very rare vinyl and even the sadness of driving down to work in london than monday morning in nov 1991 and hearing the news on the car radio...

you need to learn to read. i didn't miss the boat - if anything i enjoyed the best part of the journey on the f*cking boat - 17 years worth

Brenski: i can read, hope that isnt a dissapointment for you
and by the way you did miss the boat seeing Queen on Top of the Pops back in 1974 doing "Seven seas of Rhye" " Killer Queen" & " Now im Here" they were very majestic
and always made other acts look inferior.
Yes it was very sad hearing the news about Freddie passing away and i just cried and cried.
Bad thing is a year later a new medication was available
for HIV patients and Freddie would have been saved.
Fate is cruel and un-predictable and for the millions of Queen fans it was down right vicious.
I used to be in the Queen fan club but towards 1998 the mags were getting thinner and the membership increasing so i gave that up as a bad job.
To think i had been in the fan club from 1977 to 1998.
Once sent Freddie a bottle of black nail varnish and razors for his birthday back in 1980, and when i phoned jackie to ask if Freddie recieved them she said yes but he wasnt very happy about it, and left some colourfull language, i said what did he say, she said he told me to tell you to " F**k OFF" I laughed out loud, cos freddie
always had a sense of humour!
So my claim to fame is, Freddie Mercury told me to f**k off" ! priceless .
I was also discussing Freddie with ballet star Wayne Sleep in gay bar in Newcastle 7 years ago and he had loads of good memeories of fred through all the lavish parties he went too. He was also talking to me about Diana the princess of wales!
