Queen are not the fantastic group that they were known to be, because now
they are destroying there legacy with some freaky karaoke singer in a pervy leather coat.
christ its more like Queen meets the rock horror show.[/QUOTE]
Got a problem with perversion? Are all leather coats perverted? Or only long ones (unlike Freddie's short ones).
Have you any idea what Freddie's personal life was like?
Go back to your village. It's missing its idiot.

What a fucking plank.

Have you not noticed the similarities with Tim Curry's portrayal of Dr. Frankenfurter and FM's seventies stage persona?

i dont give a flying fuck if real wizzard has an O.B.E im not bothered what he thinks or you for that matter.

Exactly - it doesn't matter if people are more qualified than us. Our opinions are what matter most.
"Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'" -- Isaac Asimov
^ the same applies to any situation in life. Does this compute to you?
Vocal harmony · Member since
I don't think it will compute, a certain intelligence is required to understand the situation. Their has been little or none shown in most of what Gerry writes.
Having a hatred of someone based on what they look like, dress like and sing like is almost psychotic in nature.
I guess at the end of the day someone has to take his crayons away administer the tranquilizer and strap him up in his nice white coat so he can drift off peacefully while looking at his posters of Freddie.

vocal harmony: i find your attitude shit mate, and you are very disrespectful
to freddie for making him out to be a play thing for me to look at.
i really feel sorry for you and your seed brain.
i have every right like anyone on here to express my opinions and i dont need you or anyone else
on here to look down there nose at me.
so do us all a favour prat, go and do one!

Yeah i agree Queen did deteriate from 1982 onwards
but Hot space was not as bad as innuendo and made in heaven, for it had some catchy tunes on it.
"put out the fire" was a great tune.

hahahahahahahahahaha...queen fan of 41 years????? really???? then clean the fucking shit out of your ears.....to even mention Hot Space in the same breath as Innuendo or Made In Heaven is to show a distinct lack of any knowledge or grasp..
Hot Space - drum synths, bass synths, a band who weren't in the studio together very often...some shitty songs, with lazy finishing and minimal effort applied...and how fucking tinny does it sound? it's like they captured a sound and then decided to keep that going into The Works and AKOM...fucking abysmal production...and Freddie's famous "apology" for the album at Milton Keynes - i know as i was there and heard it
For what it's worth - i don't particularly love either MIH or Innuendo - there are some production errors on both, but:
Innuendo - maybe some shit production, but some cool songs with the whole band giving it their all because they knew the situation...and needed to make it the best it could be
MIH - yes there's some stuff that sounds cheesy - but the intention is all good, and the songs sound as good as they could be....so much care and attention went into it - a labour of love
you comment shows a measure of ignorance unparalleled or unequaled in any person with 40 yrs worth of knowledge and appreciation of any subject

Total Poppy cock darling!
everyone has there own favourites or dislikes in Queens back catalogue,
but i think after "The Miracle" the show was over more or less.
innuendo only got to number one through loyalty from the fans
but "Made in heaven" was an utter car crash.
Hot Space is a far better album in terms of melody than anything on innuendo,
Las palabras, Dancer, Staying power, cool cat, and under pressure
all canny tracks in there own rights.
May you should clean the shit out of your ears Brenski, because you dont appreciate
good melody in a Queen song,!
why dont you join "One Directions" fan club, after you have the mentality for that.
i have probably appreciated Queen longer than you, so i can say what i do.

Gosh, it's almost like it's a matter of opinion or something.

Its ridiculous how the mean queenies (Brenski) and (vocal harmony) think they are right!
sad sad creatures and possibly relatives of james arthur!

There seems to be a trend where the outspoken trolls (using the term loosely) here like to use the word 'darling'. Do they think it adds authority to what they're saying because Freddie said it sometimes?

They were always great, and they would get even better after releasing A Kind Of Magic onwards, IMO.
What makes you dislike Made In Heaven?
And how come you've been following them since 1972? Before they even released their debut album...

Gerry you have presented an argument in which you refuse to believe that their could be another side to what you believe.
Your blinkered view of what Freddie was and what he achieved won't allow you to see the bigger picture. There is no one on this sight who would disagree that Freddie at his best, was the best. There is also no one on here who would say that Queen, with Freddie, weren't a brilliant band.
From 1978 up until last year I have seen Queen on every uk, and or European tour. Would I compare the Paul Rodgers or Adam Lambert line ups to the original. No I wouldn't, out of choice. However that doesn't mean that Freddie was faultless and PR and AL were bad. The later shows were enjoyable, I preferred AL to PR. Does that mean he was better? No. I also preferred Queens 70's and early 80's shows compared to the Magic tour. I also thought that in sone ways the AL shows were closer to a late 70's Queen show than the PR shows or even the Magic tour I'm sure a lot of people would disagree, and I could easily agree with most of the disagreements because I'm aware of the bigger picture and I'm aware that my opinion isn't the only opinion.
Your perceived view of my disrespect for Freddie his totally inaccurate, and is no where near the level your disrespect for Brian May, Roger Taylor, Adam Lambert or anyone who doesn't whole heartedly agree with
everything that you say
For someone who has been a fan for so long, and for someone of your age, your views and understanding are limited. Hasn't it crossed your mind that you yourself have fueled most of the comments directed at you because
of your hatred and belittling of anyone who isn't Freddie Mercury or doesn't agree with you.

i will answer your questions ok.
first of all because i was brought up liking then idolising Queen
anything below that standard gets slated by me i.e adam lambert.
i think Brian & Roger are so so wrong for wanting to continue working
with that guy.
Secondly im very surprised you prefer lambert to paul rodgers,
because paul rodgers is a rock giant with many years of experience
in the music business where lambert just went on a crappy reality prog and got lucky because silly little girls voted for him
like what happens to pretty boys, i.e looks over talent.
Given which one i prefer it would have to be paul rodgers as he looks more suited to been on stage with Brian and Roger
anyway im not preaching here everyone has there own choices, but for me im still disgusted Queen are continuing working with lambert
it turns my stomache. i love freddie with all my heart, and to me only he can sing his own songs the way they should be sung.
i wish Brian and Rog would either make an album together and leave lambert out of it or dont bother at all.
im not a bad person but just very passionate about freddie.
i sort of hope brian stops all this silly business and gets on with some worthwhile projects to do with the real 4 members of Queen.
i also miss John Deacon too!

Would you mind answering my questions? I'm just pretty curious...
