There's no freedom of speech over there and you know it! It is disgusting walking on eggshells when others are allowed to say anything they want to, the nastier the better. I've never told anyone to "fuck off" like so many others do and I've always spoken very highly of Freddie and the original members of the band.
It's not rocket science. Like in any community, old-timers enjoy more freedom than newbies until the newbies build a reputation and gain respect.
Or put another way, people can behave how they want in their own home but guests have to mind their manners.
In your case specifically, your enthusiasm for AL often comes across like you're a pushy used-car salesman. And you act like no one but Freddie or AL is worthy enough to sing Queen. I mean, you criticized a fan who posted an amateur video of himself singing for not being as good as AL. Can't you see how obnoxious that is?

Which show will you be attending Bob?

Interesting interpretation. Methinks Bri and Rog are thinking long term, trying to reach the next generation of fans... and doing it with someone with some street cred isn't a bad idea.
That said, Lambert's career isn't exactly booming right now, so maybe they both need each other a bit.
Either way, judging by today's ticket sales this tour is going to be a commercial success. Whether or not it'll be an artistic success is to be determined..
Yes, but I was baited by the chief troll over there who said that fan would be better than AL. I said he had a very nice voice but that AL doesn't use an echo to enhance his voice. Who knows, I could be wrong, maybe he does use an echo but I've never noticed that in the 3 live shows I've seen. I didn't say in so many words that AL was better so I don't think I was being obnoxious.

Well put ^
I don't recall ever seeing this pushy, obnoxious behavior from Paul Rodgers' fans. And what Lambert fans don't seem to get is that Queen factually ARE the far bigger draw of the joint billing, and yet they really act like it's the other way around.

If you know you are being baited, then why do you fall for it???
You act like only Freddie is "allowed" to sing Queen songs better than AL, and anytime anyone expresses a preference for someone other than AL, they need to be "corrected." That's obnoxious.
Try to understand context. For example, if some parent posts a video of their kid singing WWRY and people say, wow the kid should sing for Queen, would you compare the kid to AL too? Really, if you MUST compare at all, then at least compare to Freddie instead of holding up AL as the standard that others need to meet in order to sing Queen. That's obnoxious.
I realize you are not intentionally obnoxious, but perhaps you should give some thought to why other AL fans on QOL don't seem to get the amount of rudeness and blowback that you do.

Not sure if that's a fair comparison, since they wouldn't book 20 arena dates in Finland since there is obviously not enough population (nor arenas) to fill them up.
It's an extremely fair comparison, when you look at the % of population attending the shows. A real star has no problems in selling 50,000 tickets in Finland, and that's almost 1% of the population. For that same 1%, Queen+AL would have to sell out a hundred arena dates in the USA (as opposed to 9).
Or how about a comparison between USA and Canada? The are on the same tour, and they have an almost equal amount of dates.
Does 9 arena dates (and 3 casino dates) in the USA still sound like a lot when there are 7 arena dates in the Canada?

Over $550 for front row for Vancouver show, crazy price!
I paid $140 each for 2 seats in row 40 on the floor. Oh well.

Thanks for your sensible input. All of the other "obnoxious" AL fans have been banned or have left from being tired of being constantly hounded or criticized. It kind of works both ways. The other AL fans who get along over there now get along because they watch their step. They don't want to get banned. No matter what I have posted, even if it is very NICE, there are people ready to pounce on me, but THEY don't get banned. It's hard to see crap about Adam being a fat giraffe, but I guess I was supposed to laugh about it in order to be a pleasant "guest." I didn't think the "hosts" were showing very good manners to begin with. I came there originally in 2011 with lovely intentions only to hear about vibrato and "goat throat." Again, those people don't get banned. If you hate Adam Lambert you are welcomed with open arms; otherwise, watch your step! I do not think that Adam is the only singer who can sing Queen music and certainly can never match or take the place of Freddie--no one can. I agree that George Michael has been awesome. I did not like Nate Ruess at the iHeart Music Festival. I saw Marc Martel in Queen Extravaganza and he was very good. I don't know why Brian and Roger don't want to tour with him since he looks and sounds more like Freddie than Adam does.

Good point. I don't think Marc Martel will ever fro Queen. Both BM and FM have said they don't want to tour with someone who sounds or sings like
Freddie used to. Have that was their aim then surely They would have been the guitarist and drummer in the QE thus making the experience even closer to the Queen sound. Being in a band is about growing and making it interesting for yourself and your audience.
I don't think they want to be in a band that is purely a tribute ti the past.

I think it's fairly plain why Bri & Rog chose Adam for their live shows over Marc Martel. It's nothing to do with vocal ability, per se, they're both quite capable. Marc Martel is a fantastic imitator and works well in the context of QE, doing his best FM impersonation. He's comfortable with that much. Adam Lambert is not. Adam finds his own bodily rhythm to present on stage, tweaks the style in his own way, improvises a bit with the vocal lines. Love 'em or hate 'em, that's what Bri & Rog keep saying in the interviews is that AL is not impersonating; he's giving things his own twist (however subtle at times, or whether or not appreciated by fans). My two cents.

There will also be a Facebook PreSale tomorrow, which has an event page with the password. I'll not post it here until I've tried to upgrade my Chicago seats (LOL - sorry! I know that's a bit selfish) but I'll come back with it afterward. Good luck y'all! It's going to be a memorable tour, and quite possibly the last one North America will see. SO excited I can hardly stand it.... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
