All of the other "obnoxious" AL fans have been banned or have left from being tired of being constantly hounded or criticized. It kind of works both ways. The other AL fans who get along over there now get along because they watch their step. They don't want to get banned. No matter what I have posted, even if it is very NICE, there are people ready to pounce on me, but THEY don't get banned.
That's called "how the real world works". When you join an established community, you have to accept the community standards -- no matter how unfair you think they are -- or you don't join the community.

If you want to change community standards, you have to either become one of the "bosses" or put in the time and work to become a respected community member such that people will value your opinion. What you don't do is join a community then complain that people aren't changing the rules to suit you -- that will just make people not respect you. And when people don't respect you, they won't give you the benefit of the doubt and will look for the negative in what you say and do... which is where you're at now on QOL, with people pouncing on you even when you are nice.

It's hard to see crap about Adam being a fat giraffe, but I guess I was supposed to laugh about it in order to be a pleasant "guest."
You don't have to laugh about it, but you should at least be able to ignore it instead of taking it so personally. Sticks and stones... if Brian and Adam don't care what the haters think, then why should you?
[b]SweetCaroline wrote:[/b
I came there originally in 2011 with lovely intentions only to hear about vibrato and "goat throat." Again, those people don't get banned. If you hate Adam Lambert you are welcomed with open arms; otherwise, watch your step!
Not true. Some of the people you consider haters have also been warned and gotten temporary bans.

You'll notice that since you've been banned, that other QOL posters have come out either to say they like Q+AL or at least are willing give the collaboration a chance. So it seems that QOL is not filled with Q+AL haters. But rather that some of the people who support Q+AL just never got a chance to speak up (or maybe didn't see the point of speaking up) because your battles with the haters tended to derail the discussion.

I've seen some new people posting because of this collaboration and some who have returned, but they're not prepared for the nonsense that comes from some. I have ignored plenty, I assure you, and I am not the person who derails the discussion.

So far at least, the people who are still commenting seem to have the ability to not rise to obvious baiting and reign in their responses when it looks like the discussion is about to get derailed.

Hi! Just looked at that QOL thread this morning after not looking for awhile. Two moderators threatening to ban people and lock the thread (again) because of childish comments and the "bad guy" (ME!!!!!) isn't even there! LOL

Lambert topped Yahoo! Voices's list of top ten pop singers, stating: "Lambert's vocal ability has no limits and when he takes off, it's as if a rocket has been launched. Lambert is clearly the best popular music singer the world has ever heard since Freddie Mercury".[242]

Just read that on wikipedia........
I'll take you to the Seven Seas of Rhye

That's nice to hear. We should get along just fine in Row 8 of Section E in Auburn Hills!!!!! I'm assuming you haven't heard him singing live yet. I just realized that there is another section behind the sound board that is also on the floor or raised up before you get to the lower bowl of seats in that venue, so our section is pretty much in the middle of the floor.

I don't think they were baiting. They were responding to the nasty stuff. Adam may not be well known in the UK, but he is known in Persia (where is Persia?):

@saraandniall: @adamlambert W0W Adam...this means alot to us...thanks thanks thanks...I'm soooo happy u know a bout us here...thanks again ;)

Adam wished Persian Glamberts a Happy New Year.

For simplicity, you can assume Persia = Iran. But it's more of an ethnic group than a geographic region. Persians are not Arabs (two different cultural groups), but Persians can be Muslims (a religious belief). The Persian reach extended quite far in the time of antiquity, to Anatolia (Turkey) and India. The Persian empire was huge (reigns of Darius, etc.) but has been invaded by Greeks, Arabs, Turks and Mongols throughout it's long history.

Prior to the ninth century, Persia probably represented the height of enlightenment in terms of math and science, especially with the western world immersed in the dark ages (an effect of the Catholic church that turned Europe into armed camps and villages for almost 1000 years).

The Zoroastrian religion was a major force in Persia for a long time, but has been on the decline for centuries. I believe Freddie's family considered themselves Zoroastrian.

AdamMethos, I'm trying to catch up with the 10 pages added in that QAL thread since yesterday. I was banned for an innocent remark way back on Page 27 less than two weeks ago and now THEY are up to Page 82! Love it! The mods must miss me since they gave me a shoutout recently! They probably think "we banned HER?" These new guys are killing us!

edit. double post.

Uh, somewhat to the topic of ticket sales. I am one who would attend a Western state concert if I could afford. I have a skinny budget which allows for scant entertainment if I am careful and dont buy fancy expensive food. The soonest I could purchase a ticket is May and by that time, tickets will be unaffordable. So, for those who can afford the tickets, enjoy the concerts and please take good videos of them. Thank you in advance.

I'm so laughing at the naysayers who said the sales for this concert were going to be unsuccessful. They sold out in 5 minutes in Philly. Have to get separate seats in some locations because of the demand. Queen is NOT dead in the USA!
And you wonder why you were banned by QOL in the first place, eh CNB?
There's no freedom of speech over there and you know it! It is disgusting walking on eggshells when others are allowed to say anything they want to, the nastier the better. I've never told anyone to "fuck off" like so many others do and I've always spoken very highly of Freddie and the original members of the band.
