Day Drop,

You are clearly missing my point. You are too stubborn to listen. Most singers have a fan demographic. I was simply pointing out that probably 70-80 percent of Adam's fanbase is white women between the ages of 40 and 70. Just a fact. White men are his lowest demographic. No judgment. Just fact. I wasn't talking about YOU. I have no idea if you're a 10-year-old black boy, nor do I care.
I'm asking you what skin colour has to do with the conversation we had? You've still not answered that. Why even mention "white older men", or was it supposed to be some sort of slur? Because playing the identity politics game is fashionable for bandwagon jumpers, right?

You had no idea whether I was a 10 year old black boy, as you say, but the chances are, I'm white, which you've also mentioned. But... so what? Why mention skin colour?

And again, what's homophobia got to do with this conversation?

"Mostly Queen fans and older white men". How would you know that? Intuitively, I would assume that Adam's fans consist mainly of girls in the lower teens. There's no way for me to know that though and it's a cheap argument anyway.
Nope. Wrong Oscar. Although you are so much more pleasant than Dew Drop or whatever his name is. I am an Adam fan from the beginning and follow his career closely and go to many of his concerts so I know his demographic. 70-80 percent white women between the age of 40-70. (because we are smart and know talent when we see and hear it.) White men tend not to like Adam. He's too gay for them. His fan base is widening though. And I know a huge of majority of Queen fans do NOT like Adam because he is filling in for Freddie and is different than Freddie. I've gleaned this from my study of Queen fan websites. So I feel I speak from a position of knowledge.

Dew Drop,

Here is what I said, " I LOVE HIS VOICE. THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE IN MY CAMP (NO PUN INTENDED) AND A LOT OF PEOPLE IN YOURS (MOSTLY QUEEN FANS AND OLDER WHITE MEN).' I was putting you in the Queen fan category not the older white man category. Just stating the demograpic of people who do not care for Adam as a performer.

I Never was a die hard Patton fan, so I'm not biased when I say MR.Patton kicks Adams butt as a singer/songwriter/entertainer and originality, And its not even close. Brian and Roger lost the plot since Mr. Mercury passed away. At least Paul Rodgers was a legend even if it never fully worked as a unit. Like TCR, It had good Individual performances, but the songs were uninspired. Also, I didn't like the way paul sang Queen songs live, though I do like the way The Rodger songs sounded, and I liked the drum solo and last horizon, so it was a mixed bag for me. The lambert era I don't like at all.
Ah yeah, I didn't include Paul Rodgers in my lack of taste list of mentions (Daffy, Five, Lambert etc). But like yourself, I don't think he worked too well with Queen.

So you're playing the identity politics game in a conversation with someone who doesn't give a flying fuck for that bullshit.

Lambert isn't to my taste.
Do you think every black man or woman likes Lambert's singing / style?
Do you think every gay man likes Lambert's singing / style?

And wtf does that matter anyway? What does it matter if the majority of Queen fans are white? Why should I give a shit about what colour older fans skin is? Why do you? Why even type the word "white" in that context in this conversation?

And what's homophobia got to do with it? Why mention that?

The simple matter is my past musical loves were James Brown, The Supremes, Michael Jackson, Madonna and my favorite, Prince. I am NOT comparing AL to Prince but he is the closest male performer we have today that entertains how I like to be entertained. I watched that last Patton clip. Yuk. Not my taste at all. And I didn't see one clip where I thought his voice was superior to AL. This is what I call entertaining. Not the best clips. Just a sample.

Simmer down, Dew Man. Obviously you do give a flying fuck or there wouldn't be spittle all over your computer screen. Such rage. Have a cocktail.

Not to your taste, but not dull. He's done all sorts of wild stuff.
Not to your taste, but his vocal abilities are superior to Lambert's - by far - when it comes to range and diversity. And on a subjective note, his tone of voice.

Lambert couldn't improve on this. Or sing it as good for that matter. Patton knows he doesn't have to do vocal acrobatics in order to sing just right. But he could do, if he wanted to.

Not "rage" at all. If it was rage I'd be calling you all the names under the sun.

I don't give a fuck about skin colour. I do give a fuck to call out idiotic arguments such as the one you used - playing the identity politics game.

Again, what has white skin colour got to do with it?

And homohphobia, which you also mentioned.

From Wiki:

"Patton's vocals touch on crooning, falsetto, screaming, opera, death growls, rapping, beatboxing, and scatting, among other techniques. Critic Greg Prato writes, "Patton could very well be one of the most versatile and talented singers in rock music";[50] colleague Blake Butler called him "a complete and utter musical visionary and a mind-blowing and standard-warping genius."[51]

A list published by the Chicago-based music website Consequence of Sound (CoS), acknowledged Mike Patton as "the greatest singer of all time."[52] The May 2014 article referenced VVN Music's (Vintage Vinyl News) analysis of various rock & pop singers, ranking them in order of their respective octave ranges.[6] The article served as a retraction to a previous article,[53] which originally awarded the number one position to Axl Rose. Both articles praised Patton's impressive 6 octaves, 1/2 note range (Eb1 to E7), versus Axl's admirable 5 octaves, 2-1/2 notes."

OMG. Last comment. I was telling you people in my camp (loving Adam) and people in yours (not loving Adam). It ain't that deep. I guess I should have said older black and older white men and older Hispanic men to be fair. When Adam closed the American Music Awards to introduce his first single, in case you missed it, he kissed his male bass player and shoved a male dancer's face into his crotch. He also had an extremely "gay" first album cover. Hence, many men did not like him strictly because of the fact that he was shoving "flamboyantly gay" in their faces and the homophobic men hated him. (In case you don't also know, there is an extremely large population of older men in the US who are homophobic.) I've talked to many of them.

At least I can admit to differences in taste, whereas you cannot.  That's why white female Baby Boomers are far superior to male GenXers.
I'm asking this in all honesty.  Did Patton have number 1 hits?  Did he win or get nominated for a Grammy?
Faith No More's song Epic was a huge hit and made it to Number 1 in Australia.
These are the days of our lives They've flown in the swiftness of time.

No, not judging. Just curious. Always open to new music. I'm just not a "rock" kinda girl.
