he also preferred a crappy guitar sound and turdful bass...which is why Roger, Brian and John were his first choice

so Killer Queen and Bohemian Rhapsody would never happened in your book then? because both have had Freddie's vocals "touched"
and you don't think there's some "effects" used in
Play The Game / Ga ga / Vision / Magic / Princes and many more
get your stepford head from up your arse and listen for a change - almost every vocal is open to some manipulation/or cosmetic alteration

Add In the Lap of the Gods & Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon to that list... Oh my, what were they thinking????!!! Poor Freddie.

Don't forget 'Brighton Rock'.
Now, back to the topic.
Was this second Orbit 'sludge against the wall' remix part of some legal bit with the Jackson clan for the '..More To Life...' release?
If that was the reason, why not just say 'no'?

Doubt it, Brian and Roger just like the guy.

Well if Rhys really made this video then he knows how much was recorded that day.
Yeah, this is definitely worth pursuing. Has he posted here at all since the dialogue about Houston 1977?
On a more meaningful note
I've asked Rhys a question about previously unknown live gig footage and audio, such as Brussels 84, on Twitter. I'll post here if I get a response.

I've been humming it for days now -- the Orbit version -- so it's at least catchy. There are some glaring problems though: the effects he uses on Brian's guitar are awful, and as cmsdrums has rightly pointed out, the drum sound is like someone beating a cornflakes packet with a severed cat leg.

Ha! Thanks for the laugh

Brenski: You have lost the point here.
We are discussing a track which has been abused by a so called professional called william orbit
only in this case you have to admit he has made a dogs dinner out of this beautiful Queen track.
You do talk silly, saying Bohemian Rhapsody, Gaga, etc... all had freddies vocals touched, but you are forgetting
today's technology did not exist in those days to what Orbit has done to this new Queen track.
So you may as well go on Madonnas web site as you think Orbit is the man, and he is wonderful.
You heard it here people Brenski thinks Orbit has made a good job of Queens new jewel "Let me in your heart again"
such a fool, such a looser and such a non Queen fan.

Gerry when did brenski say these things? Oh wait! Never!

So when are you going to retract that lie and admit you invented things when you said I liked that Ray Of Light album just to suit your own purposes, Gerry?
Martin Packer · Member since
To give y'all somebody else to fight with :-) I'll truthfully declare the song's grown on me - even the bits I guess to be modern additions. It started with Freddie's gorgeous vocals, continued with (what I perceive to be) John's bass, and proceeded from there.
And the fault y'all are finding in it are completely passing me by.
And I'm sure the original version must've been stupendous but I've never heard it.

He won't because it will show him to be wrong. Which as we all know he never is!
gerry · Member since
i never said i liked the "ray of light" album i said it had fair tracks on it.
what lie are you referring to then?
gerry · Member since
Here is the proof that Brenski likes Madonna and william orbits crap work!
Gerry - why do YOU so readily dismiss stuff? try listening to the album before heaping shit on it.
Orbit's genius touch worked well with Madonna's (at that time) reinvention as "earth mother"...there are some killer tracks on that album that are as good and better than most of queen's output from 82 to date:
substitute for love
frozen
ray of light
power of goodbye
swim
shanti
but we ALL know you won't enjoy - because YOUR ears are turned away and YOUR mind is closed to anything by anyone you have marked down as "crap"
