Yes, Runaway is where they really let rip. Perhaps because none of them wrote it. :-)

I like the album, some bits a lot. But it isn't as good as any Queen-with-Freddie album - to me.

I like(d) Warboys and Small to some degree, but I never listen to the album anymore.
We Believe sounded like a propaganda song for the Obama-campaign.

I didn't listen to TCR properly when it came out. It simply didn't have the addictive Queen sound that I expected. Doesn't mean it's a bad album though I guess. In fact I have really liked Brian and Kelly's version of All the Glitters (Once I loved a Butterfly) and also the tracks that made it onto Fun on Earth (ie Say Its Not True and Small). So now that my expectations about it being a Queen album are gone, I might enjoy it a lot more!

It reminds me of a solo album From Brian and roger. Its one of those albums I Never listen to anymore. The songs I STILL like are Glitter and small, two excellent songs. The rest Is Forgettable. Warboys and call me are among the worst Queen related songs ever released. Say its not true Is decent, but I like the live version with only Roger on vocals better than the studio.

I actually quite liked Call Me. It's simple and it has a great hook. And the guitar break is just classic Brian.

Time To Shine, Small, Call Me, Some Things That Glitter, C-lebrity, Runaway - all excellent tracks in my eyes. Had they gone the supergroup route (think Audioslave, Velvet Revolver, etc.) and not used the Queen name, there would've been great positive anticipation and these tracks would've been given the respect they deserve.

But, how hindsight is 20/20. Nobody outside of hardcore Queen fans will even think of these songs. Huge opportunity for post-Freddie creative recognition missed.

Do Paul play(ed) any of this songs on his solo gigs?
It seems that Brian and Roger are not interested in play any of them in their Q+AL tour... And it would be a shame!

Also, it seems that Roger is not interested in playing any of his solo material, while Brian tend to play Last Horizon and ignore the rest of his songs... Such a shame.
(As a side note, I have sent a few messages to Brian on Twitter, once I suggest him to play Another World in the Q+AL tour, he didnt replied but he gave a me a "favorite" to my message I wonder if there was some kind of "message" behind that action)

lol
Queen: Roger Taylor, Mike Grose, Freddie Mercury, Brian May.

Cosmos Rocks wasn't a bad album,to me is a combination of some Queen sound elements, with a classical rock singer, and of course it was more straight rock oriented, there was no way to hear multi voca harmonies, pianos and stuff like that,Brian and Roger surely didn't want a cheap copy of Freddie's era,and of course Paul is a totally different singer, haven't heard the live album so I can't say the differences between two eras.In case that they try something with Lambert, which I think is impossible, for me there are...too old for that, propably it would be something closer to the older days, since Lambert has that kind of voice. But as I said, this is not likely to happen at all.

My favourite ones from this album are: 'Small', 'We Believe', 'Some Things That Glitter', 'Say It's Not True', 'Surf's Up... School's Out!'.
I'm still waiting that some day Universal Records re-issue this album with 'Runaway' and 'Take Love' as bonus tracks.

My first listen to TCR was with my brother, a classic rock fan, but really only a casual fan of Queen..........he said something like "ok, apart from a few songs, that sounded like Bad Company or something, not like Queen".............

Heh...........now that I think about it, I remember I bought that and Metallica's Death Magnetic on the same day! (great album, poor production....)
