Why not make the live recordings that are not good enough quality available for people like us, die-hard Queen fans who'd like to hear as much Queen live as possible? We'd happily buy downloads of such unheard recordings! (the top 100 bootlegs but then with truly rare recordings and in the best formats possible)
That way QPL could also satisfy this large group of Queen live fanatics but after all these years it's clear we are not the people the released products are aimed at.
We are deemed to small a group to be of importance.

It's very silly and short-sighted to think that there must be a 24-track recording to release a show.

Years ago The Who released a full concert from 1977 on DVD with a mono soundtrack.

There's absolutely no reason why Queen couldn't just release uncut mono or stereo soundboards as £10 downloads for fan club members or even on iTunes. It would take almost no effort on their part and they would sell a few thousand copies each - and they would be better than the horrible sounding shite that's already on youtube WHICH THEY AREN'T MAKING ANY MONEY ON.

Seriously - where is the common sense?

^ I enjoyed the Live Killers release so much that in late 1979 I wrote to the fan club and asked if some of the unreleased live material could possibly be made available to buy through the fan club... I didn't even get a reply, I'm afraid nothing much changes in in the Queen world!

The Real Wizard, re:

Not strictly true. They released a concert DVD from 1969 with a mono soundtrack (London Coliseum) as a bonus disc to accompany a show on DVD from 1977 (Kilburn), so it didn't make up the feature release, but I get your gist. Queen / QPL will never allow this to happen - better chance of swimming to Saturn and being able to dig there for buried dolcelate.

Even Bob Dylan's new giant boxset includes lots of mono tapes of live concerts, and even an audience recording or two.
This whole "Brian and Roger are perfectionists" bullocks is being proven false, time and time again, by every new Queen release - so why not just give the customer more content?
