Because it isn't called 'Queen: Live at Golders Green'. It isn't about Golders Green.
If it DID have the full Golders Green on it you would probably find a million things to complain about such is your obsession with the bloody thing.[/QUOTE]
Compiling multiple shows (from different eras even) for a live CD is an old and odd practice. It doesn't make sense. We'd like to know just WHY they couldn't put the entire Golders Green show on there, and call it a day?

Coz if they were going to release the whole show then release it on its own, it is an important and historical gig, it would probably make money as a stand alone release (which is all QPL care about at the end of the day)

Aren't there enough pictures already of Queen with dodgy geezers, without one of UKIP supporter and England's most boring DJ, Mike Reid.

Golders Green was broadcasted by the BBC, so IMHO should have been in complete form.

Golders Green was broadcasted by the BBC, so IMHO it shoud have been in full here.

But then why include it here?

Golders Green fades out midway through Jailhouse Rock.
Why?????
And why was "See what a Fool" omitted?

I got the 6 CD set and have enjoyed it so far. I have been very critical of the live disc, and rightfully so I think. I would have rather had one full show than snippets of 3 shows. That being said, it is a fun listen. Golders is a lot better than any bootleg we have of it. For $47 and free shipping, I think it's worth it. Plus.. the sessions rock.
A few things of note: - The US version is the Virgin EMI release from the rest of the world with a sticker added to the bottom with different copyright information and a unique UPC #. - The box itself is approximately the height and width of the Singles box sets that Parlophone released a few years ago (a bit shorter perhaps). The box is skinnier since it is 6 discs and a booklet. All 6 discs are housed in cardboard sleeves, each with a unique image. The booklet is nice and features some really nice archival pictures. In terms of content, there is nothing groundbreaking in the text. - The mixes all seem to be the original stereo mixes that appeared on the original broadcasts. See What A Fool I've Been is not the 2011 remix, but rather the original mix aired on BBC radio. - The remastering is really great the BBC sessions themselves. They run at the correct speed, stereo channels seem to be correct, and they are not mastered too loudly. - Not sure what wizardry was done to fix up the Ogre Battle guitar opening. I've heard that the guitar intro from another take was used? Or they cleaned up an older generation copy of that intro. Anyone have info? - We Will Rock You does have the spoken word interlude. - 6 disc set does have DJ banter at the end of each track. The banter does not interfere with the song itself. - For as much as I've criticized the live disc, it is a fun listen. The Golders Green stuff is not prestine, but it's way better than the bootlegs we have now. Morumbi sounds decent as does Mannheim. I do not think Morumbi and Mannheim are new mixes, rather I think they are period correct. There is some DJ banter on the live disc as well. - I have skipped around the interview discs. There is some good insight from the band here. - I'm in the minority on this one, but I really like the artwork and visual direction on this set.

This release would have been perfect with just a 3 cd set. disc 1 and 2 including THE COMPLETE sessions and a 3rd disc with the full Golders Green concert. That would have made it a Perfect product, but no, they had to F.. it up. And in the name of God!!! How on earth are you gonna Shred concerts like Manheim and Sao Pauio which are Excellent, and just give us a few Snippets.....
Both concerts deserve to be released in full, both had a great performance from the band.
I still can't believe this year there was nothing at all released related to Knebworth or Hyde Park, No DVD with any live concert, maybe Buenos Aires, Earls Court, Hammy 79', a big N!!!, not even a downloadable audio from Hyde or Knebworth park. Totally disappointed.

We've already discussed this but I stand my case! I'm very disapoitend...!
The DJ chatter on the deluxe version annoys me! And why on earth they released different versions of the tracks?! I prefer just the songs with no chatter!
