Greg, I think you overestimated the gullibility of most fans.
Out of loyalty to a local record shop, I bought the 2 disc set for $24, instead of the approx. $19 on line offerings. Adding the Deep Cuts version of TMOTBQ to 'complete' the set, I am thrilled. I no longer have to listen to the crappy youtube versions I converted eons ago.
For only double the price, I could have had the 6 disc box set. I passed.
I would have gladly paid $29 for a 3 disc set, with the complete Golders Green concert as the third disc.
Just thought you'd like to know. As is, I'll continue to listen to what I converted from youtube of that concert, above to very good quality.[/QUOTE]
Agreed ... I only bought the two disk version. For Hammersmith, I only bought the CD (I skipped the DVD, Blu-Ray and box set). However, I did buy the Rainbow box set.

The sleeve notes repeated the old fallacy that Smile's version of DAR was sung soley by Tim Staffell. In actual fact, it's a duet between Tim and Roger.

It was never part of the BBC sessions. It was from Top of the Pops.

But it's not exclusively BBC sessions. The box, as we know, has the live crap and interviews. As GOFLB was performed at the BBC for a BBC show, the question is valid, is it not?

Of course.
But the theme of the box set was radio sessions, not TV performances.
