Anita Dobson has just been cast as Brian and Jim Beach will be played by Yoda.

I would prefer a fictional story featuring the band. Any one of these would do:

- fighting aliens on a planet far far away
- time travel story where they find out they are their own grandfathers. Or something.
- Queen versus Dracula.
- Queen in a submarine versus Japanese whale hunters
- Terminator-style story where Arnie has to kill Fred to stop Hot Space being released.

1. You really should get out more, you are becoming delirious...
2. Before you go out... check out Scooby Doo and Kiss: Rock n Roll Mystery. It's on Netflix. It is terrible, but you can't take your eyes off it. Kiss (Current version) play themselves, and recorded new versions of their hits for the movie. Treat yourself.. It is truly terrible. Well worth watching. :-)

Still find it odd they've cast a Gollum look-alike to play Freddie.

Production starts next week according to an article in "Hemel today":

[i]Last week the Gazette exclusively revealed that Fox Productions had applied to spend three months filming at Bovingdon Airfield.
Production will run from July 17 to October 20, with filming and rehearsals throughout September. Residents have been told that increased traffic will see up to 800 cars and shuttle buses per day visit the site during the shoot.

Anyone know about this newspaper and how reliable it is?
Basically blind em and deaf em in the first 10 minutes, and while they are recovering from that put in the less good songs

I always wanted to read biographies rather than watching biopic.
I think that Sacha Baron Cohen was better than Rami Malek for the role of Freddie.

Sacha Baron Cohen would make a great Frank Zappa but certainly not Freddie.

I really am not too keen on this biopic at all, but what would you say to Russell Brand playing Freddie? I think he has that same 'outrageousness', campness, in-your-face performance style, and looks a bit like him as well.
I know he is very controversial, but put that aside, and just look at how he would fit the Freddie look and image.

Waaay too ADHD for Frank Zappa. Plus he looks awfully unlike Zappa.

I cannot stand that ratty faced twat. He makes my skin crawl. That'd be a dire choice; an in-your-face performance style that'd be completely unwelcome for a great number of people. He hasn't got the same style as Freddie at all. There'd be nothing believable about him playing Freddie whatsoever either.

There's no way I'd entertain that film if he was cast to play the part.

From QOL : http://www.queenonline.com/news/bohemian-rhapsody-qol-reveals-the-band-casting

Gwilym Lee will be Brian May, Ben Hardy has landed the role of Roger Taylor and Joe Mazzello will portray John Deacon.

A good casting according to me!

Besides the terrible likeness to Freddie, I surely hope Rami Malek can pull off a good British accent. Same with Joe Mazzello. Brits can usually do a very credible American accent, rarely does it work in reverse. We shall see.

So the guy playing Roger is almost ten years younger than the other 3. Interesting that they've gone for men in their mid 30's, (Roger excluded) Presumably that means they'll be concentrating on the 1980's and 'younging them up' for the 1970's. Roger always looked younger anyway. (Such a pretty boy)

I think they've said that Live Aid is the (chronological) ending, and judging by the pics on the board behind Brian Singer in the new photo, it's 78-85 that will be covered.
