hi first post here. Queen fan for about 15 years or so.

ok so i have a question about this. the band have secured the rights to make this movie, right? i know it's an obvious question but a friend is arguing with me that they can't make it bc they havent secured the rights? is there any truth to this? can you provide me with a link to proving they can and are making this movie? [/QUOTE]

I don't have an answer to this, but no doubt the legalities of any film using published music are messy. But considering Brian and Roger have been involved with this for years, I'd say much of this stuff has been panned out.

In other news - your user name is fantastic. And here is the t-shirt I'm wearing today (the blurry text under the torch says "go to hell series").

haha nice! and thanks for the info

whos Daniel Lampinski? that name is SO close to my real name....SO SO CLOSE.

He taped hundreds of concerts in the 70s in the Boston/Providence area, and with the help of a couple pals he had all of his masters transferred to digital and shared every one of them online. His 75-79 tapes all sound spectacularly good for audience tapes.

The more you dig into the world of underground music collecting, the more you'll see how rare this is.

I really like the plot line they chose with great respect to Freddie's privacy in later years.

Why should you? It is great! This movie can potentially generate a Queen-mania nothing else could trigger after all these years. I don't say it will happen, but if the stars are in line and all that who knows. I want this to be big, and one can dream :)

What are you on? He is clearly a nice guy and a great contributor on this forum. Your post about him is totally out of line.

I've got a feeling the narrative will keep flipping back to Live Aid - maybe the band reminiscing throughout the set using flashbacks.

Freddie looks at Brian and remembers when they first met.
Roger remembers recording Bo Rap
John has a haunting vision about playing on a train in the English countryside.
