The year is 2085 and a frail 137 year old Brian May on his deathbed is the last surviving witness to Live Aid and, on it's one hundredth anniversary, decides to give his final interview to a female journalist. His story then unfolds in a series of flashbacks with the film divided thus;

1970-85 10 mins
Live Aid 20 mins
1986-91 (including Freddie's death) 5 mins
1992-2008 omitted from story
2009-2017 90 mins

In the last scene of the film the journalist asks if he has any regrets and Brian reveals only that Adam Lambert hadn't been born earlier and so wasn't able to perform with them at Live Aid, 'so unfortunately we had to make do with our first singer'.

Brian passes away peacefully and the female journalist turns her face to reveal she's not female but actually a 136 year old Paul Gambaccini in a syrup. And so the final twist is revealed that Brian ISN'T the last surviving witness to Live Aid and so opens the door for a future sequel starring Paul Gambaccini in a syrup being interviewed on his deathbed about being the last surviving witness to Live Aid. Unfortunately the journalist turns out to be Adam Ant out of Adam Ant and His Ants.

None of this has anything to do with the real film, just a nightmare i had last night.

dysan, re:

Hopefully because they suddenly had the lightbulb moment we've all been waiting for where the realisation hits that this whole thing is absolutely doomed to be an embarassment.

Straight to Channel 5 and then to DVD for this if it DOES get finished - no studio will give this a cinematic release.

Just the right amount I'd say. That was pretty funny. Almost Fatty-esque. (One for the old-timers here, that).

Isn't it being made by Warner Brothers? I would think if it is it would get a cinematic release although these sort of films tend to have limited appeal when compared to the "hollywood blockbusters". The Ian Dury film made it to the big screen certainly in the UK so I would expect this one too.

Would've been better with Disney. Freddie, a young Victorian chimney sweep in London meets a harsh school mistress (Miss May) and decides to help the school raise money for their fast diminishing gruel store. Freddie befriends a rebellious blonde and a quiet electronics genius and go on to sell over 500 copies of the sheet music to 'Tee Hee Me Hose Is Me Own' - a big hit in the music halls of Piccadilly and St Giles.

I forgot to say there was a good concert reconstruction picture on line the other week. Similar rig to Montreal.

Also, I can't say I'd ever heard of Bryan Singer before. What's all this about him being a paedo and are Queen Productions aware?
