Just to Clarify, the showing at Freddie's bash didn't contain a Bob Harris narration (They had more Brian/Roger audio instead) and no QAL. The documentary originally finished with WATC at Houston. The original original ending had audio of White Christmas being played whilst a news report featured on top - but was cut by the band as it wasn't the ending they were going for. I don't remember too much else different - maybe a few extra 'in the studio' bits...but it's hard to remember.

So, I'm pretty certain that the studio footage of the band recording IT'S LATE and MELANCHOLY BLUES was for the BBC sessions (since Fred has the album lyrics sheet at the mixing desk during the recording of the latter), but can we say the same for the WATC footage? Was that them actually recording the album version? Or was it a BBC track that was ultimately discarded (maybe in favour of SYW)?

Other Bob Harris footage comes from four principle documentaries:

MAGIC YEARS
CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD
DAYS OF OUR LIVES
RAGS TO RHAPSODY

Merge all that with this new release and you'd have maybe two hours' worth of material.

Who was the co-engineer for WATC (The fella with the moustache) ?

what if they ARE putting out an extended blu-ray, just not to be included in the NOTW box set, but sold separately at a later date?

Ironic quote from Rog, when there is nothing coming out from the band it's time to quit.

I used to be like that, now, as a long time fan, there's really nothing new happening

Personally, I found the whole thing a bit boring and repetitive

Nice to see Fred in full flight and happy again, otherwise nothing of great interest

There is obviously more Houston footage in the bands archive. Did anyone notice that short clip of Freddie with the whistle?

I really like all that footage. It's surprising how much they have! We'll get to see more in the future. Clearly they are spreading the good stuff over as much releases as possible.
The fact all this amazing stuff exists is awesome though.
I'm very happy they seem to have recorded quite a few of those US 77 shows! One day we'll get to hear more I'm sure.
Some poignant moments in this documentary, especially the moment when they're asked about making a solo album. Freddie's answer is heartwarming and it just goes to show how much they were a true band.
Also FM commenting on the guitar string break in Liar is great.
This band was so good around that time and this documentary surely highlights this, even if we get the feeling we are getting only glimpses...

Then there's less reason to buy the current box
