Unbelievable:
"" Look at this set list ! I think I have some learning to do !! Ha ha ! Yes - thank you - I am reliably informed that IR KITI HITAI is not a song I had forgotten, but means "and other hits" !!! So I may be OK. Our problem, of course, in the live situation is that we have Too Many Hits. This is an expression borrowed from the wonderful and sadly missed Artist who was once, formerly, known as Prince. It's a wonderful problem to have, but it does mean that we have to leave a lot of material out that people might want to hear. Still ... all opinion seems to be that this is the best production we've ever taken on tour - so all in all I am happy. "" source: brianmay.com

What a noob. Did he forgot all the other years with Glambert were one big Greatest Hits compilation and they play 90 % of these songs for over 5 years now. What about 40th anniversary of NOTW??

Brian could also be talking about the stage design, Lights and visuals as well when he talks about the production. Musically yes you are right - it is the greatest hits tour and for me that is another factor in not going to see this version of Queen live. I would have liked to have seen them with Freddie do more obscure album tracks, but alas, it wasnt to be.[/QUOTE]

Talking about the stage design????? He's talking about a setlist and that they have too many hits to play. No stagedesign mentioned.

But it isn't the only die hard Queen fans that are seeing this show multiple times. There are a lot of regular fans, Adam fans, and new concert goers who are interested in seeing Queen. A lot of the tracks always mentioned are rather obscure and don't relate to the regular people. This is not a show for die hards. To be honest "Spread your Wings" was not my favorite at all and supposedly Brian didn't think it resonated, I believe that they understand their audience at this point and they gauge what the set list should be. I think most folks want the standard hits (and there are way too many to include!) and they are happy with it. One slow or off song can really ruin the flow of the concert and then they have to work twice as hard to get the audience amped up and engaged fully again. Brian and Roger have had a lot of exprerience with this. For me I love it when they started with "now I'm here", but i am truly happy no matter what they play. I enjoy everything!

At least you agree with my statement that this show is for Joe Public who wants to hear a Queen hit. And obviously there could be Kermit singing as long as there is "Queen" on the tickets they sell. Moreover Brian Money is selling this cabaret by stating that "Freddie would have loved it" whcih is disgusting to use him to sell tix

You really do talk rubbish sometimes.

You just said it yourself!

The rubbish part is the Kermit bit.

The set list is the set list. When production gets talked about it is the stage, lights, video, PA etc that that word covers, and the way its used in the show. Brian is quite clearly talking about this when he uses the word production

As this is no rock show but more some musical "production" is the right word I agree. Everything is scripted no spontaneity at all.

Check out all the other big shows and scripted is the word for all of them!! That is the way it goes. You have so much time to perform and you want to get it all in. You can't go off track, so you keep to the formula. There have been posters on QOL who saw Queen back in the day and they said it was just like this back then. The only difference is that no one could watch youtubes or post on the internet when they went to 5 shows to tell others it was the same. I rather doubt they were totally unscripted except for maybe when Freddie was wasted and forgot what he was supposed to do. I have read that happened often enough from Queen fans who were at the shows. Queen has always been theater along with rock and it is just a much bigger production because of the new tech. I don't know Freddie, but I bet he would have loved all the bells and whistles. He sounds like that kind of guy and since he wouldn't have to be in the closet, I can just imagine his outfits and how he would be "acting" on stage! That would be a treat!

Snifflese you're a fucking moron and I mean pages it. TO say that Queen's vintage shows were only unscripted when Freddie was "wasted" is really a fucked up remark. Freddie was ONE time a lil wasted that was in Aussieland in 1985 but you talk about him as if you could be lucky when he was sober on stage. That happended according to who ??????What a sad remark you fucking prick. Fuck off to you lame Lamebird sites and praise that fucking asswipe. To say the shows are now what they were back then is another stupid bullshit: As far as I remember they had a guy on the mic that could sing and no retarded wanker looking like the Joker from a Batman B-movie. Now shut the fuck up and vanish from here you sad bitch.

Wow, you really don't like the shoe on the other foot do you? See, it's not nice when someone calls the person you admire yet you have no qualms about calling Adam every name you can think of on every post. I'd like to think it would make you a bit more sensitive to other people's feelings.
And if we're being pedantic it was New Zealand not Australia in 85.
