A Queen fan's final take on Adam Lambert

Brian and Roger aren’t enough. Some Queen fans need Freddie himself to come back from the dead and put HIS personal stamp of approval on Adam before they can accept him as a worthy rocker!

If icy and some others I could name ever made it to a live show their minds would be blown and they would have nothing more to crab about.

So because Brian and Roger hype and love AL, does that mean everyone else is supposed to feel that way? Sorry, I do have my own mind.
Is that why you offered erm bribed about buying me tickets? See, I knew I'd be obligated to love everything about Q+AL, especially AL. So I'm glad I turned your offer erm bribe down. I'm pretty sure if I went I would have wanted to hear certain songs that are no longer performed. I don't think I could ever like the coronet AL wears.
What exactly did you try? You tried shoving AL down everyone's throat for years now. I get that you think the world of the guy, but I think you don't or can't accept not everyone feels the way you do about him.

I agree with that, rock has so many sub types like you say and Adam has the type of voice suited more to some types than others, 80's glam rock/hairband to me. He can definitely do the high rock screams no problem and his low range has extended since he started although he doesn't use it that much but he can if he needs to but it will never sound like that deep resonant type Freddie or someone like Chris Cornell had, that's just down to voice type (timbre). Maybe that's why he's chosen to sing Queen songs the way he does, this way he does them to suit his voice type and judging from the reaction most people love it.

By the way, yes Adam sings best in his upper range. If that disqualifies him from being considered a rocker, what about Robert Plant and Axl Rose?

Rock, funk, reggae, r&b and opera by singing other people's songs, doesn't mean he can do it all.
Gee, you must always promote and praise him, like I say at the drop of a hat. Many people can cover songs, some better than others, but not everyone is able to do it all, and do it well.
Freddie is proof of someone who did so much...and who did it very well indeed.

There is a difference between promoting (like on a special site and getting paid for it, for example!). This place is for giving opinions which everyone else does, too. Just scroll!! Personally, I also think Adam can pretty much sing extremely well between genres and there aren't many singers who can do that. Opera and classical singers often sound odd doing contemporary or pop. Pop singers are often no good at classical. Country singers with their twang aren't great in rock or jazz. Usually certain voices fit certain types of music and otherwise just don't sound as good. Adam is one of the few (and I listen to all kinds of singers and voices) who sounds legitimate in most kinds of music. Why can't we say that? No one is opining that Freddie can't do it and you have to promote him and always get in your 2 cents about Freddie. You bring Freddie into almost every conversation, needlessly. Are you getting paid to promote and praise Freddie every time you post? I think you must be. You do exactly the same as Caroline, so what is the problem? Aww. Once again, you are pissed off and bewildered that Freddie is mentioned. You really can't tell why he is discussed, can you? Go to an AL site and stay there since Freddie being discussed bothers you so much.

Icy, the only one pissed off is you , as usual. I am just pointing out, that what you always say to Caroline, can be said to you. It actually has nothing to do with Freddie. I don't give a crap who is discussed by whom, as long as it is civil. It doesn't bother me in the least. What I hate is the constant calling out and the nastiness, which always leads back to you. You do the same thing as Caroline, Icy, there is no difference and they are both OK. She defends Adam and you defend Freddie. It is one and the same thing. If you can do it, so can she.
