There are several music teachers and people who have sung opera and are familiar with it that post on Adamtopia. According to them (and I have read some critiques of his voice early on with various music people who were trying to figure out what kind of voice he had) he can do what some of the 5 top opera tenors in the world find hard to do. The fact his passagio is so amazing. That note he runs up in UP is an extremely hard thing to do. The fact he doesn't normally use falsetto for anything. The raw power of his voice. If you listen to Seven Seas of Rhye and WWTLF, that is sung the way classical and opera singers do. I listen to opera and Adam's voice sounds like the tenors I love. Check out Angelina Khalehari (?) who has many articles and pod casts about his voice and she definitely compares it to the best tenors in the world. Based on my knowledge of opera and having listened to his voice for years, I agree. He has had classical training and studied opera for several years. There are some yutubes of him singing with two operatic sopranos, Noa Dori and Maya Haddi, at Yitsak Rabin's Celebration of Life Concert. He also does a telethon with that kind of music. He definitely sounds like an opera singer there. That kind of music was definitely an option for him and that is the kind of music I would love him to sing. That is why I love him singing Queen, since there is that rock opera element to some of their songs. I would give a lot to hear Adam sing Ave Maria or even somthing as simple as O Holy Night at Christmas.

Maybe you just got a boring crowd that night. I read about many, many people who were there from all over. They sat next to folks who post on Adamtopia and it sounded like more than the Vegas goers. I also istened to the streams and watched several periscropes and some of the crowds at least looked quite animated and very engaged. A lot of the Atop ladies attended numerous concerts and they intimated that they were surprised how animated the crowds were and doing the Gaga clap and singing with Brian. I was not there, but it seems as if some concerts might have been better with crowd reaction than others. It is unfortunate that it was so boring for you. But everybody wasn't a huge Queen fan and it seems like it impressed enough new people who really might turn into new fans based on tweets and posts. That is always a good thing. People can qlso quietly enjoy. Not everyone is loud and over the top and dancing on their seats. In fact that is really annoying. When I saw Queen last time, there was this idiot lady in front of me who stood up on the ramschackle chair (in her late 40's and I was afraid she would really hurt herself!) and was screaming and trying to dance. I finally asked her to get down as she blocked my entire view. Behavior like that is not fun for the people behind them! I always read about the people who are annoyed that they can't stand up and dance in a seated venue. It would be nice to have them think of the others, esp short folks like me, when it is a seated concert. I know the band must prefer loud screaming, but not me always, and I do a fair amount of screaming and cheering myself!! Wish I could have been there!!

Again those glamtarts mix up "high notes" with "power" - which is totally wrong. YOu donät need to bring up any fake opera experts. His voice is just too thin for rock music. He still sounds like a lil girl who can hit impressively high notes but this sounds like chalk on a wall. Combined with his awful or non existant stage image you get what he is: A joke- and not a good one

You are so misguided. I told you, sit your ugly behind in a chair at a concert and you will have to eat your words as you have no clue what you are talking about. He could be an operatic tenor and I know a lot more about it than you do, so just stuff it! Until you have heard that voice live, you can keep your opinions to yourself.
R
yeah if it sounds crap on a (professional) recording it sounds amazing whe you are there. The only difference would be that I would directly vomit in his direction

One more note for you, runner! You are really an idiot because you seem to be confusing a high tenor with a baritone. The voice is not weaker, it just has a higher pitch and you don't care for that, fine, I get it. But singing in a higher register does not make the voice weak, as you like to say.. The power is still there. Freddie was a natual baritone and I assume PR is also. That is your preference. It is not mine. They are obviously not going to sound the same. Freddie doesn't hit the high notes in WWTLF like Adam does and they sound different. A soprano has a different tone than an alto, but sopranos can sing with great power and force. Just because it is high, does not meake it weak. Maybe you should get that concept through your obviously very thick skull. You don't have much musical knowlege IMO, otherwise you wouldn't keep reiterating such dumb remarks. Saying it a million times does not make it so!

always contradicting yourself - once he has power once he has not. Can we agree that he is a talentfree wanker?
S
Adam has more talent in his little finger than you have in your big toe!

I totally agree and have been saying for 9 years now that you have to hear Adam LIVE! His voice is not enhanced by auto tuning in the studio like other singers. In fact, it detracts from the raw power and beauty.

Adam is not Freddie and Freddie couldn’t do what Adam does so it is a moot point.

What does Lamebert do that Freddie cannot: ah I get it: he sucks and destroys Queensongs
B
Especially rock ones and anthem ones like "Radio Ga Ga" WWRY and WATC.
He ruined Radio Ga Ga with his gay interpretation of that song.
Fuckers
S
What in the world is a gay interpretation? It is a regular song that he sings really well. It is not a KQ or songs in that segment. Really? Was Freddie not gay in his onesie and sparkles and ballet shoes? I don't get you people at all. Sometimes I think you live in an alternate reality and I would watch the gay remarks as they are not at all PC, dude! I find it the height of hypocrisy that you complain about the gay!!
S
Adam excels on anthems and rock songs! I have never seen him do a gay interpretation of Radio GaGa — never!!!!!

Post a link please or STFU!
R
What he means is his yodeling and SC Lamebert could not sing a rock song to safe his life.......he is Cabaret screecher......most if rhe songs he destroys with his annoying yidel gymnastics which seem to be worse than ever
B
I tell you this gals are hopeless, hopeless!

Freddie sang RGG like the fuhrer as opposed to Adam Lambert who sings it like a "cabaret screecher"

No rock music lover would like Lame-Bert. Especially when he is fronting the once mightiest band in the world and dragging em thru the mud. Gimme PR anytime on the ROCK songs (which is 70% of the setlist) insztead of this tool's lil girl's voice.

There's at least one who disagrees with you, Rick Savage was on stage last night wearing a Queen + Adam Lambert T Shirt - go figure!!
