People can always hope! Nothing wrong with that. I don't believe it will happen, but sometimes there are surprises and changes, so who knows? This would be the perfect year since the movie did so well! If not, there is always the Elvis Special coming up. That ought t be really fun as I was a huge Elvis fan. My first two records were by Elvis back in the day!! I had all his music and saw every one of those schmaltzy movies!!! Now I cringe!![/QUOTE]

I wouldn't be hoping after what Brian and AL had to say. Brian seems to be happy enough just for the nominations. And I will say again, I doubt they were even asked to perform in the first place.

Still hoping for a “surprise” appearance of QAL at the Oscars. Adam has been in London so maybe they are planning the Rhapsody Tour and rehearsing for the Oscars? This would be the only time to do it with the movie being nominated and the U.S. tour coming this summer.

So you wanted Lambert to do the Superbowl half time show and also open the Oscars? Maybe he could also do the State of the Union speech too? Here's something for you to think about: your world may revolve around Lambert but the world doesn't revolve around him.

Holly, Adam’s first international performance with Brian and Roger in Belfast was a closely guarded secret. Just sayin’ it could happen again since no one seems to know how they are replacing Kevin Hart. Whatever happens is okay, of course! Maybe Adele will be singing Don’t Stop Me Now! LOL

I never said or thought they were asked, but as a fan, I can see hoping it might happen, knowing 99% that it won't. Either way it is fine with me, but publicity never hurts anyone. TBH, I don't watch the Oscars, the Grammys, or any of those shows. I could care less who wins, really, as that doesn't influence whom I admire, what singer or band I listen to or what movie I like. I like what I like and that is about it. I pretty much like something initially or I don't ever. I am not one of those people who say, "It grows on me"!

Holly, it is not Adam, it is Queen (QAL) performing. I think they well deserve a superbowl since their music is perfect stadium music. Some of the acts in recent years are pretty limp. Sports fans don't necessarily listen to some of the groups performing. I just think they are a poor fit for the audience. Country music would be a lot better and rock also. As far as the Oscars, I don't see why that one would be a stretch at all. BR has been a worldwide phenomenon and Queen is still here to perform (excuse me, QAL). Not sure why that would be so odd. But as I said, I don't watch and it makes no never mind to me as far as the Oscars. I did watch the Super Bowl as my team won, but I washed my dishes during halftime as the lineup didn't appeal to me at all. I like Levin, having seen him on the Voice each season and he is funny, but his music is better recorded than live. I just don't understand your remark, other than as a dig at Caroline and Adam fans in general.

Don't forget, AL can do everything *sarcasm*.
And you are right. Even Brian's and Roger's world don't revolve around AL. Nor should it. I do think AL needs Brian and Roger a heck of a lot more than they need him.

AL has already stated in his Twitter party that he isn't even attending the Oscars. What more do you need?
I guess we will cue your "hopes" erm fixation soon enough about AL when the Grammy's roll around.
You want him to be everywhere and do everything. How entitled are you?

I don't care. I don't share your obsession with Lambert. That said, Lambert shouldn't be anywhere near the Oscars. He had nothing to do with the events that inspired the Bo Rap film. He didn't create any of the music and isn't part of the Queen story told in the film. If Q+L play at the Oscars it will be proof that Lambert really is hanging on to Fred's coat tails.

sweetcaroline is only interested in Lambert. If Queen had chosen another singer, sc wouldn't be remotely interested in Bohemian Rhapsody.

I absolutely agree with this. You summed up my thoughts perfectly.

I doubt she's interested even now. Posted more about AL's cameo in the biopic more than anything else to do with it.

Holly, I’ve been to see Marc Martel and Jeff Scott Soto singing Queen music, besides Adam with Brian and Roger. Have YOU seen any of them LIVE, or even Freddie himself?

Sure and that makes you such a big Queen fan *sarcasm*.
Why do you always ask if people saw this or that person live? Very telling you put Freddie last by the way.

This childish shit again? Yes, I saw Fred perform twice with Queen. And I saw Brian solo at the Royal Albert Hall. And for what its worth I saw Queen and Paul Rodgers. You admitted a few years back the only Queen album you had ever listened to was a greatest hits package, in your car on the way to see Q+AL. Give it up would you?

I think you guys are really being unfair. How do YOU know how she feels. You are back to your old tricks, Icy.

"Don't forget, AL can do everything *sarcasm*.

Then you wonder why she isn't happy with you. You are unwilling yourself to give it a rest. As far as who needs whom, I guess I would go with Brian and Roger who say they would never be touring without Adam. Since touring is what seems to make them happy, I would say Adam is integral to QAL. It would be impossible to see it any other way based on Brian and Roger's statement, not what you think is true, even though, Icy, you have no actual insight into what is going on. Your view is only your opinion, as is Caroline's. My opinion is that Brian and Roger can't tour without Adam and Adam wouldn't be able to tour without them, It is a mutual need and they both fulfill their half. It is, if you will, a symbiotic relationship at this point, which requires all three be involved.
