A_D, would you kindly send me that unpublished photo too, if it’s not too much trouble? :)

There’ll be more to it than just simply a “re-release...”
Hm from what I see on the cds on the pic this is Mr Bad Guy, Barcelona and a compilation. The only secret is the bluray/DVD, which will contain all solo-videos seen before as well.

I assume the sound has been mixed up and BArcelona might have a real orchestra (But we also did have that already). Doctoring old recordings NOT the way Freddie wanted it to be is pointless
Apocalipsis_Darko · Member since
Runner, do you think Freddie wanted the full album with a real orchestra?
Because he didn't want. He didn't have enough time. He trusted in Mike Moran.

First openly gay Freddie cover. Mr. Bad Guy or Love Kills.
Queen first openly gay Freddie cover. Queen II.
I don't think any of those covers are openly gay. Queen II cover was meant to be glam. As for the others, maybe different standards in different cultures?

Glam: bisexual or gay
Mr. Bad Guy: gay in San Francisco or New York in the 80's

Think you are looking at those with gay colored glasses. What exactly would be gay about them except for now known stereotypes and even then why would that mean they were gay?
Apocalipsis_Darko · Member since
Well, all the gays in NY and San Francisco were wearing that look.
Intimate friends of Freddie will tell you in QueenZone....as Thor or Lee.
Do you know why Freddie began to be a leather gay? Anvil. Glen Hughes....Mick Rock saw it.

I'm betting none gay individuals would also dress that way. They way someone looks, even if they are gay, does not mean its a gay look.
And even if Thor or Lee say that Freddie dressed that way to look gay, why would the photos mean that they were gay photos?
A leather gay? Strange term. But that was not what I was referencing as you didnt mention that before.
Apocalipsis_Darko · Member since
Well, Freddie went at the end of the '70s to a club called Anvil, and he saw Glen Hughes from Village People, with Mick Rock, and he adopted that style.
Of course, dressing like that, not make you gay....but it's obvious Freddie was gay, something totally natural, and he dressed like a gay man. Nothing against that, I think...

Watch the Al Pacino film, from the leather gays scene in New York. Cruising.

I know he was gay, no doubt. But its just weird for me to read that into a photo without knowing it was intended to look gay on purpose.
Of course nothing against being gay or dressing with that in mind. Just meant that if you look at a photo or cover and think it looks gay, that's mostly because the viewer puts that label on it.
Also, gay is mostly just a sexual orientation. Not a look persé or for that matter a photo or cover that doesn't especially depict that orientation by lets say a certain pose, interaction with someone from the same sex or something like that.
They are mostly just photos, just covers. But some might argue, which I do not agree with, that every photo of him sporting his famous "cock duster" mustache, looks gay.
