I don’t think that they will want to empty the whole archive in order to release all the demos from The Miracle album

2019 marks the 30th anniversary. Still an odd choice as it is not regarded as a classic album. Has some great songs but also lots of their worst ever. My baby does me , Rain must fall, Khashoggis ship and Party are crap[/QUOTE]
Odd? are you drunk? The Miracle is a great choice because so many unreleased songs waits the light of day

Nearly all of the songs are on youtube. And these ain't the most exciting. Odd - yes because The Miracle is one of their weakest albums. Why don't they use Innuendo or a Live Killers box. Miracle is the last album that comes to my mind that deserves a boxset.
And no I am not drunk you fuckwhit

We will get all those songs widely available on you tube - most probably in inferior quality. And maybe May will throw in a Miracle balloon. That's all for 150 Euro. 110 from that go directly into the Maylor pension fund

The miracle will be promoted as the time when Freddie told the band about his illness, the album when the band were like one unit again, (family etc as the movie suggests haha ??), so the will try to attract the public as the continuetion of Queen after the movie's end.
Anyway if it is the case songs like Was all worth it, The Miracle, Scandal and unreleased songs like Face it alone will be promoted. I think that is good move to release the miracle box.

you'd have to hope that whatever is already in the wild, must exist in the archive in better format/condition.
As for the €110 per-item Maylor Pension Fund comment: I know it was tongue in cheek - on your part, but for the uninitiated, it's probably worth mentioning that the split will be equal.
The four band members or estates will receive a 14-18% cut of any sales. So, on each sale (of your suggested retail price of €110) the artist will receive €17.60 - which equates to €4.40 per band member. Once you factor in income tax we're looking at around €2.00 per band member.
It'd literally be a "miracle" if they managed to sell the staggering number of Miracle Boxes required for a significant boost to their pension funds. Artists have not got any richer from record sales for at least two decades.
In the 80s it was "home taping is killing music", then in the 90s CDRs and CD-writers saw home copying explode. The birth of internet downloads was the final nail in the coffin. Early on, through Napster, Audiogalaxy etc and the last decade; through streaming and torrents.
I won't go into writer's royalties - as the percentage is usually a small fraction of 1% of individual songs.

As they themselves said, they get more money from concert performances than from album recordings.
What about The Miracle box set: As for the box set: I do not have high hopes that everything will be there that is in the archive for this album.
Remembering what form got the NOTW box set I sure that this album will be released in the same way.
Despite the fact that I liked The Raw Sessions from this box set, I still think it's not enough.

Well of course not. No band ever releases everything. Look at the Purple, Rainbow, Zep and Beatles releases: sure there's loads - but probably not even 25% of what there is. Why would bands release everything? This is only of interest to the absolute completist and a box like that would run to £000s

The Miracle is a a good choice for a box - simply because of the wealth/volume of recorded material available. Raw Sessions tend to be used when there's not sufficient to justify a full boxset.
