Pain is so close to pleasure and Don't lose your head are among the worst Queen songs ever- only topped by Rain Must Fall, My Baby does me and Party/Khashoggis SHip.
Easily the 2 worst Queen albums for me

I also thought that Princes was written by Brian when it was released. A very unusual "Heavy Rock" Song by Freddie. Gimme The Prize is lame in comparison. Too contrived and by numbers

I can agree in general Runner, for me those songs are subpar for Queen...with that being said a subpar Queen song was still better than the vast majority on the radio at the time, and 100% better than anything I hear on the radio now! Save for Pain is So Close to Pleasure, I really don’t like that song, worst one by Queen in my opinion. The falsetto Freddie, the formulaic backing beat....yikes! I can get into Don’t Lose Your Head, I think if they had just been more creative with the lyrics on that it would have been a good song.

In general too poppy for my taste. And PISCTP is a silly rewrite of that DIana Ross song

KPTOW is an underrated gem on TW
One of the best songs on the album.
But the sound mix is a little lightweight. Joe Jackson's "Steppin' Out" shows how good KPTOW really could have sounded.

I like KPTOW a lot, great song. Brenski, do you know the timing of that song vs. the release of Stepping Out? I always wondered why KPTOW had such a familiar sound and that is definitely it!
