We all knew this would day would come but it’s still sad to see. I’ve met so many great friends on QueenZone and I’ve been so inspired on here. Thank you Richard for keeping it going for so long, you’ve surely changed a lot of our lives on here.
RIP QueenZone (Richard’s Place), you’ll certainly will never be forgotten.

Been a fun yet short lived time for me, this was one of the first Queen communities I became part of. Thanks for everything!

This must be one of the longest running forums on the entire Internet. Sad to see it go. Unfortunately, there are always people who will want to ruin a good thing, but there have been fun times, and I've met some good people here.

It would be a pity to lose all great threads from here, but I absolutely understand your reasoning. Thanks a lot for the great years, but if you somehow can dump the database (at least the threads) and make it available somehow, that would be great. Would you have time to write some exports?

I asked the fan club if they might do a forum but Jacky said she's worried Y2K might crash it.
Old Queenzone joke.

I think it's for the better that it closes. Ever since i've joined, which must've been 2006 under the name "Innuendo1990" there was a fair share of trolls and members verbally abusing others.
Surely it's been great reading alot of the topics, and some of the hilarious comments by others like the encounters with Fatty, and the stuff Chiefmouse did was great.
If the forum stays open for the members to post and read, but not for new members to sign up i think that it can possible restore a bit of peace. But if it closes down on nov 1st for good then that is of course a decision everyone has to agree on is better for the current mood there is on this forum.
No matter what, it's been a great ride and i've met lots of nice people on here.

Thanks Richard for everything!! Been following Queenzone since 1997 or so. I hope you can contribute to the new Queen forum in any kind of way!! Thanks
Maybe we see Your Valentine , Gary Taylor and Brooksy here one more time to say goodbye.

This is unfortunate, but understandable. Thank you Richard for keep on running the forums so long.
It started off so well...
So sad, it ends...
Yes it was a worthwhile experience!

Thank you so much for all your efforts and hard work over the years.
I am absolutely gutted, as the decent side of Queenzone is amazing but then of course, you have the idiots and trolls who ruin it for everyone.
There are some really good people on here and some of the content has been excellent, not to mention the awesome downloads and sharing.
I hope you thought it WAS all worth it, mate.
Take care Queenzoners, end of an era.

1- so why didn't you give moderation rights and other privileges to other people that offered help for years?

It was good while it lasted, not counting the last few years, but the end of the site is completely your and YV fault that refused to accept help. YV even made a post a few months ago saying that posts about trolls should be made in the personal forum instead of serious discussion. So, for the moderador, the problem was posts in the wrong place, not trolls. A real moderador would do their work and delete them. A complete disgrace of a moderator.
Ironically, that post was also in the wrong place.
The site closing proves my theory. You don't stand the idea of other people running the site. Your ego is bigger than wanting the site to keep going, with other owners. People offered help for years. People wanted this site alive and well, but clearly you didn't. Now, they don't bother. It's your fault. You declined. Goodbye.
