If in a few years or so some producer would come up with the idea to do a movie about Queen who would be his first choice for Freddie`s part ?
In my opinion Jean Reno really looks like Freddie in the 1988-1990 period. His nose disturbs a little but apart from that he`d be perfect.

what do you guys think ?

cheers

I think I could do it great.

Whenn nobody looks I always drag myself up like Freddie in I Want To Break Free. *dreams away*

I heard someone mentionned Johnny Depp few days ago and I think that would be a great choice. The nose, the eyes and the high cheekbones.
Lyson listening for hours and hours

I vote for an all-animatronic Muppet Freddie with the voice of Frank Oz.
Blow it out your ass.

I agree. I think he could definitely take on the role. The only bad thing is the obessive fangirls that would care about the movie just for him and not Freddie!
Resistance is futile. You are now an orb.

I don't really know. But i've seen a lot of motion pictures about music (Crossroads, the story of The Beatles, Def Leppard, etc., so a Queen film would be very nice.

I was talking to one of my superiors at work about this the other day, and though I maintain that Johnny Depp would be a great choice, I had to agree with him that using a nobody might be best. As he put it, the fact that we all recognize Johnny Depp would probably distract us from being able to see the character as Freddie, who is SUCH an individual, that it would be best not to be able to picture the actor in any other role. Like with Superman and Batman (thinking Christopher Reeves and Christian Bale - who was known, but not hugely famous), by starting off with someone relatively unknown for a certain character, it's easier for them to fully embody that character in our imaginations.
Playful as a pussycat.

I would love to see Johnny Depp. But then again, who could replace a legend?

Maybe a wild idea, but how about that guy who plays Ali G, when he is that kazachstan news reporter he looks a bit like Freddie.
